What Does It Buy?

What does what buy? Humility that is. Why is it that the fellas around these parts put a premium on it?

It is rather simple I think. A humble wife appreciates what she has as well as her husband. From this, working as a team can actually be effective. Does anything more need to be said?

White privilege requires that children of European descent are never allowed to feel deserving of what they, their parents, or their ancestors have achieved. They are never allowed to believe that they have rightfully earned anything. Consequently, they are pressured to actively give up what is theirs in penitence. This is obviously damaging and abusive for a child to endure.

Louisville is a deep blue city in an otherwise fairly red state. JCPS is garbage and has been since the 60’s, but still even in my UMC neighborhood some people send their kids to the garbage schools. There is literally one decent public high school in the county for kids with IQs over 100 and it’s a cage fight for parents to try and get their kids into that one school. If they can’t they whine and moan and then send their kid to one of the shitty schools instead of paying for a private one. Thing is, many of the private ones have been making more SJW noise recently, including and especially the > $25k/year ones. SAD!

The reporter asked, “Will you require all federal employees to get vaccinated?” Biden responded, “That’s under consideration right now, but if you’re not vaccinated you’re not nearly as smart as I thought you were.” He also added, “We have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated, and they’re sowing enormous confusion.”

I actually agree that the unvaccinated are sowing confusion. If unvaccinated people are not dying in massive amounts (or really just not dying much at all) and vaccinated can still get sick and transmit the disease to others AND have to risk side effects from an untested experimental DNA tinkering concoction then why the big push to vaccinate people. It’s really confusing.

The Democrat Party normalized and celebrated political violence for months before the Capitol riots. Let’s have some hearings on THAT. Let’s talk about how incredibly dangerous it is for one Party to think it has a monopoly on grievance-mongering, street theater, and violence.

Let’s also have some hearings about how one Party thinks it has a monopoly on questioning the outcome of elections. We could roll video of top Dems, including sitting officials, doing that for HOURS. You want theater? I’ll make the popcorn and bring the tapes.

I’m not really interested in hearing any Democrat, or their GOP footstools, give tearful speeches about sacred democracy while their party systematically destroys every bit of protection for our elections and wantonly undermines every outcome they don’t like.

We have every reason to fear the full power of bloated, hyper-politicized government being turned against Americans who dissent from the ruling Party. Show trials designed to establish the predicate that dissenters are potential violent terrorists are not exactly reassuring.

“What does what buy? Humility that is. Why is it that the fellas around these parts put a premium on it?

It is rather simple I think. A humble wife appreciates what she has as well as her husband. From this, working as a team can actually be effective. Does anything more need to be said?”

A humble wife as described here would also have aspects of contentment and submission. So what does a wife like this get. A wife like this gets a husband that would do everything in his power to give her everything she wants and he thinks she might want. A woman like this is truly more precious and rare than rubies.

Another way to look at this is to observe the opposite kind of wife, who is not content, submissive and humble. This is a wife who is contentious. A contentious wife is in competition with her husband. When this happens the husband loses his natural inclination to help, support and uplift his wife. Instead, he sees her as the competition, because that is what she is, and the natural instinct in him to win comes out.

In her inability to take her spot in the marriage authority hierarchy, she unknowingly creates a competitor our of her husband which means he’ll try to defeat her She removes peace from the home so that instead of the home being a place of rest for the family and husband it becomes yet another place in the world he has to win battles. Over time the competition weighs on him and he seeks peace and rest which means being away from his wife.

The wife will complain about her absent husband in various ways. She will think about the life and home she dreamed about not realizing that all along it was right in front of her. But instead of building it up with feminine humility, she tore it down with her own hands.

This is what humility can buy, should a woman be wise enough to recognize it’s value.

John Tierney: Right. Sweden was criticized early on because it was doing worse than its neighbors Finland and Norway. Although it wasn’t doing worse than the UK and other countries. There were some reasons why Sweden did worse than its neighbors Finland and Norway. But what people have missed in that argument is that, over the long haul, Sweden has done a little better than the European average on COVID mortality. And Finland and Norway have done better than Sweden, but they have followed policies like Sweden’s for most of the pandemic, they locked down more last spring and they closed their borders earlier, which might’ve been a good move. But aside from that, those three countries have not had mass mandates, they’re among the only countries in Europe that don’t mandate masks. They kept their schools open without masks, without social distancing. And they have done significantly better, each of them, than the rest of Europe when it comes to preventing excess deaths. In other words their levels of mortality compared to a normal year are significantly better than most countries in Europe.

So, my argument is that lockdowns are a medical treatment, and no medical treatment or drug would be approved if it’s not proven to do better than the control group. And effectively Florida was the control group in this experiment in the United States. They locked down briefly early, but then opened up while most of the rest of the country was locking down, and they did better. Their age-adjusted rate for COVID mortality was better than all but 10 other states. And if the control group is doing better, if the treatment group is dying off faster than the control group you should stop the experiment. I mean, you would do that in a clinical trial. And we had the same thing in Europe where Finland, Norway, and Sweden were just about the least restrictive countries in Europe, and they did significantly better than the rest of Europe. So I mean, that to me is the strongest evidence.

There have been a lot of studies of trying to gauge the effects of lockdown. And early on, there were some studies where they did these mathematical models projecting if we hadn’t locked down, this would have happened. And these studies purported to find that lockdown save lives. But these were very hypothetical situations and a lot of the assumptions were quite dubious, in fact, they were severely criticized. Meanwhile, there’ve been lots of other studies comparing one comparable country with another, one county with another that didn’t lockdown, one state with another. And you generally see that the places that locked down did no better and often they did much worse than places that did not lockdown. So, given all that evidence, I mean, no drug with this sort of track record, no medical treatment would ever be approved if there was no evidence that it worked. This is really the most dangerous experiment ever conducted and there are still people that want to continue doing it, despite the lack of evidence that the lockdowns did any good.

And I was just one of many. These scientists who called for an alternative to lockdowns, this focus protection strategy in what was known as the Great Barrington Declaration, Google shadow banned their declaration so that you couldn’t find it, all you’d find was criticism of it. Facebook shut down their page. Ron DeSantis, who, fortunately for the people of Florida, actually listened to these scientists, consulted with them. And they were amazed that whenever they mentioned a scientific study to them, he’d already read it and sort of knew the methodology of it. It was astonishing to hear that about a politician. But he sat down for a panel discussion with them and YouTube removed it because the scientists were saying they don’t think children should be wearing masks. So basically Facebook was enforcing this narrative, and so was Google and YouTube. I think it’s one of the reasons that these bans continue, of course, and kids are still wearing masks, because people have not heard about the harms of wearing masks and they haven’t seen a balanced discussion of how little good they do.

A good example of how politics has taken the second chair to state capitalism is the latest spending bill in Congress. The Senate just voted in favor of a bill that exists only in the realm of forms. It’s not words on a page, but rather a concept that has yet to be given any specifics. What is happening here is the corporate interest are telling the empty suits in Congress to get it passed and they will then supply the text of the bill when the times comes to make it official.

What this means is our clues for what the American regime will do next lies in what China is doing now. For example, the Chinese imposed a law on Hong Kong that allows them round of dissenters and send them off to slave camps in China. The first has been convicted under the new law. The American regime is trying to pass similar laws so they can do the same thing. That is the point of the current show trial being held in Washington. They want to justify new laws against dissent.

The hundreds of dissidents being held incommunicado by the regime are a good mile post when measuring just how far the regime has moved toward this Chinese style of authoritarian rule. It also shows how the media has been completely subverted by the security apparatus of the state. Within living memory the media would have been all over this story, painting the victims as heroes. Today, few in the media bother to notice them at all. When they do, it is to cheer the regime.

There is another lesson from China that applies here. When she tried to apply Marxist-Leninist ideology, it was a disaster. The main reason for that is political-economy is culture specific, so this foreign political-economy could never fit China. The political-economy of China is similarly a poor fit in the West, particularly America. In China, the iron rice bowl still control regime thinking. In America, the seething contempt for the masses prevents such a social contract.

Liberal democracy evolved as a solution to the violence that arose when elites were no longer willing to hold up their end of the bargain. It was a feedback mechanism to signal course changes and reform efforts within the ruling elite. What we think of as liberal government was always a solution to the problem of violent regime change that had been the mode in the West for millennia. The current regime is now back on the road that will inevitably lead to the gallows.

Too verbose for a “Change My Mind” meme, but the sentiment still applies.

What the current vaccines seem to provide is therapeutic, not immunologic. Countries with high vaccination rates are not experiencing the same level of COVID-19 deaths that nations such as India or Russia are. However, Israel reports that fully vaccinated individuals are responsible for about 20% of transmission. An earlier study from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center estimated only about 20% of symptomatic people transmitted COVID-19 because spread is dependent on viral load, which peaks a few days after infection.

Any push to vaccinate children, low-risk young adults, and the recovered should end with this data. It appears it would be far better for large portions of the younger population to be exposed to COVID-19 and develop mucosal immunity, as seen in recovered patients

Second, did congressional leaders and other elected representatives, or their staffs, instigate the storming of the Capitol? The fact that the security profile at the Capitol that day was woefully inadequate and National Guard troops were doing other duty and then were later denied to Capitol Police begs this question. Also, the Big Show the Democrats made afterward, and are still making with the sham commission, shows consciousness of guilt; in other words, are they trying to cover something up?

Third, why have American citizens who have been accused of only relatively minor crimes, such as trespassing, been held in jail without trial for more than six months? Why were they roughed up initially and kept in solitary confinement, as if they were political prisoners in Cuba? Why are their civil rights being violated? Does this mean that our Department of Justice (DoJ) has been politicized and is corrupt?

Fourth, why are American citizens from many states who attended the peaceful rally before the storming of the Capitol, being hunted down and prosecuted by the FBI? Examples include a couple in Homer, Alaska whom the FBI raided and a DEA agent who has been persecuted. The First Amendment protects Americans from such government abuse of power, and the civil rights of many have been violated after the Jan. 6th event. Has our government completely forgotten its place under the Democrats?

Fifth, speaking of the FBI, why were there so many FBI agents present in the crowd in the Capitol? Some have called that a “crazy conspiracy theory” but investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald says no, it’s what the FBI does. Was the storming of the Capitol exploited by the FBI to entrap people? Did bureaucrats and elected officials collude with the FBI? Citizens see that the FBI has been politicized and corrupted; events since 2016 prove that. Perhaps the Jan. 6th storming of the Capitol was another of their machinations to destroy Trump and his supporters.

Sixth, was the October 2020 attempt to kidnap Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer prior to the Jan. 6th event in D.C. a dry run for the storming of the capitol? It has come out that it was an FBI setup meant to entrap individuals. There is a suspicious parallel between the October event in Michigan and the January event in D.C
