Wide Eyes

Back in the 90’s I saw this video,

I was struck by two things, that Sarah Brightman’s eyes were so big and that the boy looked like a Vulcan. As for the eyes, yes it did seem that I was attracted to the wide eyes. Then I started watching more closely. TV and movies had lots of women who had wide eyes. I thought: there must be some coaching going on here, as normal women are not really that way. I never really found any confirmation, but I bet that there is.

Humans it seems are attracted to others with wide eyes, as this is one feature that make babies so cute. Note that Bugs Bunny had wide eyes, as he was to be a character that was supposed to be liked. It seems that men respond positively to this feature when found in women; perhaps it was acceptable to men as evidenced by the Evil Patriarchy view on women as being semi-children.

It doesn’t seem to work the other way around though. Women are for the most part not interested in wide eyed men. Perhaps women don’t want their men to look like children.

Consider this scene,

We have lots of squinty gunfighter men, while Liz the Cat is wide-eyed. Would we think as much of Clint if he was wide-eyed?

Exit Question: How much practice does it require to become wide-eyed and have it look natural?

None, most females naturally retain their childlike facial characteristics because for thousands of generations that paid off because it attracts males. A woman with narrowing eyes and lips or a lantern jaw is not attractive. The retention of childlike facial characteristics is called neoteny…I am too old and smart to comment on behavior ;-D And it not just humans, we see the same process in dogs where many of a puppy’s facial characteristics remain in adults.

Its called neotony, and it is a defense mechanism against male violence and a appeal to male nurturing instincts. Women look more like children to encourage men not to hurt them and take care of them, instead. It is a fascinating subject.

Perhaps, but maybe males know that females are not a risk. We clearly developed as a tournament mating system at an earlier time: males bones are heavier and not just in our faces, our bodies are larger, our upper bodies are much more powerful, our hearts and lungs are more effective…I won’t say anything about IQ because again I am old and smart ;-D

Another affectation that you see a lot is women putting their hands on their hips. It’s to make their shoulders look bigger, more masculine. The effect fails if you know what they’re (possibly subconsciously) trying to do.

See Janeway in ST Voyager and every cop show with women in it ever.

The directive from the White House, issued late Wednesday, sounds technical: creating a new “Schedule F” within the “excepted service” of the federal government for employees in policymaking roles, and directing agencies to determine who qualifies. Its implications, however, are profound and alarming. It gives those in power the authority to fire more or less at will as many as tens of thousands of workers currently in the competitive civil service, from managers to lawyers to economists to, yes, scientists. This week’s order is a major salvo in the president’s onslaught against the cadre of dedicated civil servants whom he calls the “deep state” — and who are really the greatest strength of the U.S. government.

The administration grounds its action in the need to rid itself of “poor performers.” Certainly, there’s room for reform to the cumbersome process required to remove those who fall short of standards. But this president’s criteria for determining satisfactory performance begin and end with personal loyalty. The White House admitted last winter to seeking to purge from payrolls those deemed insufficiently reliable — the “bad people,” in Mr. Trump’s words. The protections for career civil servants currently in place at least put some roadblocks on that path, hence this legally dubious plan to erase those protections with a touch of organizational sleight of hand. Not only will politically motivated firing become easier, but it will also be easier to hire those who meet Mr. Trump’s standards: obsequiousness and, more often than not, a lack of qualifications. With no competitive process in place, leaders can appoint whom they please — or rather, who pleases them.

“from managers to lawyers to economists to, yes, scientists.”

Heavens to Betsy! Not scientists! The same fucks who change their minds about the who, what, where and how of Covid every 24 hours? Not them?!?!

“the cadre of dedicated civil servants whom he calls the “deep state” — and who are really the greatest strength of the U.S. government.”

    LOLGF

“The protections for career civil servants”

Um, fuck you even harder. There is no such thing as a “civil servant”. Those people are government employees. Employees who do shitty work should get fired. Just like everybody else who does a crap job gets fired. Well I guess just white males get fired, really.

What instead counts most are the days after. The debate take-aways, the news clips, the post facto fact checks, and the soundbites to be used in ads over the next ten days all favor Trump. In this regard, Biden did poorly and will suffer continual bleeding in the swing states.

We will know that because by the weekend Biden will be out of his basement and trying to reboot his campaign and actually be forced to campaign.

So we are going to hear over the next week that Biden simply denied the factual evidence of the Hunter Biden laptop computer, the emails, the cell phones, and the testimonies from some of the relevant players as a concocted smear, a Russian disinformation attack. That denial is clearly a lie. It is absolutely unsupportable. And Biden will have to drop that false claim.

Biden will suffer for unequivocally denying what is now a demonstrable fact: there is evidence that his family ran a systematic shake-down operation to peddle inside access and influence for millions of foreign dollars in profits. In the debate, Biden seemed bewildered why anyone could ever conclude the obvious.

It’s scary all the poisons on our foods that are causing so many health problems and allergies, BG. I’m on my phone right now and don’t know how to put a link in here from my phone, but the other day I wrote a post, Change Of Direction, in which is a short video about self muscle testing. We’ve just learned how to do it, and while it seems weird, it works. The lady in the video emphasizes it’s not a substitute for medical care, but to have a way to tell if your body can handle a food or not before you eat it is huge, imo. It might be something that will help them.

LOL, so, Ame, do you want me to harass you about that here or on your site? LOL

This week she taught us how to do Muscle Testing on our own … to have a way to tell if your body can handle a food or not before you eat it … The video shows to put the item in the middle of your chest …

So you’re laying there with a glazed donut wedged between your boobs hoping it will turn out that you can eat it, when your husband walks up and says, “Aww honey, you spoil me!” Nom nom nom … No more donut left for you! Or is that the universe’s way of saying that was meant to be his donut? If my wife had ever placed a donut between her boobs I’d have taken it as a sign from the universe, to snarf those gluten loaded carbs.

So how do you do that at an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant without people thinking you’re trying to sneak extra food out in your cleavage???

Maybe the video would explain some of those things? Do I dare watch her video? … without some tissues? To wipe the food off my chest, I mean.

A good wife would wanna be prepared in case the donut makes her husband thirsty:

    Great quote.

Seeing life thru the 50+ crowd I can say this is so true.

After a decade post 40 alone the single women know, truly in their heart of hearts, that they will be alone for the rest of their days. Endless night terrors soothed by no one, a house forever silent.

They are past the self delusion, the ignoring reality. That only goes so long before the years force them to admit the unadmittable…

    No One Wants Me. Ever.

And they suffer this horror in silence, because No One Cares.

And their married sisters see this, and the smart ones act accordingly.

AOC is a name given to me by community & the people,” she continued. “Y’all can call me AOC. Government colleagues referring to each other in a public or professional context (aka who don’t know me like that) should refer to their peers as ‘Congresswoman,’ ‘Representative,’ etc. Basic respect 101.”

This is asinine. Male or female, politicians are commonly referred to by last names or abbreviations. Consider how often you have heard President Trump called “Trump,” former President Barack Obama referred to as “Obama,” and so on. Ocasio-Cortez is creating a sexist victim narrative for herself where none exists.

In fact, she has referred to government officials and colleagues in this exact manner many times. Just on Aug. 20, Ocasio-Cortez referred to “Kamala” and “Biden.” On multiple occasions, the congresswoman has referred to Hillary Clinton as “Hillary.”

Ironically, Ocasio-Cortez regularly refers to Vice President Mike Pence as simply “Pence” but has publicly chastised him for referring to her without her title.

There’s also something inherently condescending and reductive about Ocasio-Cortez’s complaints. She claims to be advocating on behalf of women and speaking out against sexism. But in reality, the view Ocasio-Cortez is espousing suggests that women in politics can’t handle being referred to in the same manner as their male colleagues. She’s essentially using woke vernacular to say that female politicians are particularly delicate and fragile.

The big news is that Communist China owns #JoeBiden; Joe Biden sold out CIA assets in #China who were then executed or imprisoned…

I believe the rest of it, but doubt this portion. Very few people even within the CIA had access to that information. Those are a LOT of CIA agents. I doubt Biden did. However, the Secretary of State did. And also had a personal unsecure server. The pattern in particular would point to Hillary since they executed all of these CIA agents at once. Typically they are more careful and take longer so as not to endanger their “source” (Aldrich Ames makes the example, they knew who the agents were but did not execute them all at once…much better to make use of them). The deluge of killings points to the Chinese knowing their “informatant” would soon become useless to them.
