So what about the length of hair on women?  Most fellas like it long.  Perhaps it is a reminder that women are different than men.  Perhaps it is a sign of health.   It doesn’t really matter, fellas like what they like.

But what about short hair?   It may work with some women.  But you have to be really good looking to pull it off.  Perhaps that is the point; if you are so good that you can pull it off, then you must really be a looker.   If you are not a looker, then short hair is guaranteed not to work; don’t even bother.

Of course, lesbians often have short hair.  That throws a monkey wrench into the whole thing.   So what are commenter’s thoughts on short hair?

Notice the glasses and the hair bun to make her look frumpy.

    Then the spin

And the flowing hair framing those eyes and the long legs and hips.

I specifically remember being 12 in 1976 and this came on and all of a sudden, girls were something to be noticed. No wonder the Mrs is 5-10 with long dark hair.

The length of hair that looks good on women takes approximately 9 months to grow. What else takes 9 months to grow in a woman? As always, those things that we find attractive in women are related to reproduction. Long hair became attractive on women about the same time that humanity descended from the trees. It lets you know that women can carry a child to term, the most important role a woman can fulfill.

Short hair means a few things, none of them good. Either she is unhealthy, a sexual deviant (lesbian, slut, etc.), or is trying to signal that she isn’t on the market. For me, short hair puts a woman in the same category as the women with fluorescent-colored hair and excessive piercings.

I became Vice Chair of Major League Baseball Promotion Corporation in 1976. My intent was to turn it into a marketing, broadcast and publishing company. My first act was to engage in a major audience survey. Nothing like that had ever been done before. We were searching for the reasons people attended games.

The most remarkable fact we discovered was that people attended for the thrill, of course, but also to avoid the real world of politics, crime, etc. People wanted to go to games and sit with fans and immerse themselves in the event. They could sit with their political adversaries and enjoy the time together without concern for anything other than the play on the field.

I lectured owners and GMs on this subject and they all adopted a “no politics” anywhere near the game approach.

This principle remained in place, although few remember the origin or purpose, until this season. I have warned an owner or two of the existential threat to the game of overt embrace of political slogans and positions.

Sadly, woke commissioners and owners have ignored the rule and I do think it presents an existential threat. They will catch on soon, but it will take courage to erase BLM from the pitcher’s mound and elsewhere, or other symbols of woke reality from fields, uniforms and, most importantly, from the players commentary and actions. I’m not sure that can be found today. There was a bond between fans and teams that may be lost forever.

Even our boys don’t recognize me, they once asked “who is that?” when I told them it was me they said I looked exactly like (insert name of boy they played ball with). Suckish year. And of course Mom remembers dad getting me that haircut. No, she sat there and let it happen because putting my hair in pigtails or a pony tail was just too much work for a woman with one child.

How did long hair get started? Well, in modern times, probably here:

I Corinthians 11:6: For if the woman is not covered, let her hair also be short: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

I Cor. 11:14-15 Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

In plain parlance: Men are to have short hair, women are to have long hair. Because men are to have their heads uncovered to bring them closer to God. Women are to have long hair, because it’s a covering for their heads. And it’s pretty.

Until about 50 or so years ago, it was deep, deep shame for a woman to have her hair short, or have it cut off, or have it shaved. One of the worst things you could do to a woman to shame her or sully her was to cut off her hair.. Women in France, I think, who were found to have collaborated with Germans in WW II – the men retaliated by forcibly shaving their heads. Marking them. Bringing them low. Making them ugly.

In my opinion, a woman’s hair is “long” or “long enough” so long as her hair length and style clearly identifies her as female and she appears feminine.

One of the points of long hair is to differentiate the feminine from the masculine.

Even the Karen cut is “long enough” under this standard….

Long hair is a woman’s glory, per 1 Corinthians 11. Cutting it is disobedience.

Deliberately removing, what the Bible shows is her best part, shows clear disrespect for whatever man she expects to marry her. If she is already married, then her husband is to direct her (Col 3:18-19) and to interpret the Bible for her (1 Corinthians 14:35-36), so she should then obey him.

The epidemic of short hair in the “church” is part of why I did not marry a Canadian woman… partly because a woman with short hair is ugly, partly because she shows contempt for whatever man she expects to marry her, and partly because she shows contempt for God. Hard pass.

“Several people in the group began to ram a large 2 by 4 piece of wood in to the front glass doors in an effort to shatter them,” the Portland Police Department said in a statement. “Other members of the group slammed different heavy large objects into the glass doors as well. The objects included large rocks.”

“By 9:50 p.m., those who had been destructing the East Precinct glass doors successfully cracked them, causing significant damage,” the department continued. “Since serious ongoing criminal behavior continued, a riot was declared at 9:56 p.m. At 10 p.m., the front doors of East Precinct were barricaded and a fire was started using plywood and an accelerant.”

When officers moved to disperse the rioters they “were hit with projectiles and commercial grade fireworks,” the department said. “Because of life safety issues created by members in the group, CS gas and crowd control munitions were used. While dispersing efforts continued, a truck associated with the group attempted to run over several officers.”

“One Hundred Years of Voting Hasn’t Done What We Thought It Would,” lamented the New York Times’ Gail Collins, conceding that women had let themselves down. Sure, Phyllis Schlafly’s support of the stay-at-home housewife was at odds with her public career, but this was not unremarked on, and it made her intriguing. Fox News under Roger Ailes was nothing to brag of, but NBC under Matt Lauer was worse. And as for Thatcher, she was one of the giants, the greatest English prime minister since and save for Winston S. Churchill, but VF describes her in the disparaging words of a Communist mayor of London, spiteful perhaps because she, along with Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, was one of three people whose pressure on multiple fronts finally squeezed into extinction the former Soviet Union, forcing it to let go of all Eastern Europe, seized by the Russians from Hitler’s retreating armies at the end of the Second World War. This was the woman Vanity Fair has described as a “monster,”

A major survey came out this week showing deep distrust in the media, and then a top producer at MSNBC and a recently deposed opinion editor from the New York Times aired their own biting critiques. The message from all three is that the media has forfeited professional standards and ethics. The message is correct.

The law is actually more likely to protect you if you shoot to kill. Because the standard requires threat to life (and/or severe bodily harm). Never show up in court and say you shot a person to slow them down, because they lawyers will put you in prison, asserting that you weren’t really in fear for your life and the person did not pose a real threat.

I’m “old school”, Liz. When fighting an enemy (foreign or domestic, it matters not which one) in war, no quarter is given in a fight. War is about killing, period. War is about body counts.
I practice a LOT and frequently with hand and long guns for one purpose only, to kill an attacker.
and, yeah, those look like CO ballots,m to answer your question.

This surely will not sit well with those who have elevated Floyd onto the martyr’s pedestal, but nearly all of these fateful decisions were made by Floyd himself. It was he who passed the counterfeit bill that prompted the police response, it was he who resisted the officers’ efforts to arrest him, and it was he who had used the drugs that may have affected a heart already weakened by disease. As to the fateful decisions made by the officers, even these fall short of anything than be described as a crime, least of all murder.

First, let’s look at the secrecy surrounding the videos themselves. In my National Review Online column linked above, I questioned why the body camera footage had not been made public. “Could it be,” I wrote, “that it has been withheld because it does not bolster the case against the defendants?” Today, it seems even safer to speculate that this is the case.

If they can blind you with lasers, I would think that counts as a grievous bodily injury. I’m shooting back at the crowd. The whole fucking crowd, unless I can get a bead on the prick with the laser. If you assist in an assault on me intending to cripple me, then you are just as guilty.

Also, you all may want to invest in some laser eye protection. There are goggles that will filter out the light from lasers, but you have to get it for specific wavelengths/colors. No good being gunned up and well equipped if they put a laser beam right through your shooting glasses and blind you.

“Protocol IV on Blinding Laser Weapons prohibits the use of laser weapons specifically designed to cause permanent blindness. The parties to the protocol also agree to not transfer such weapons to any state or non-state entity.[2] The protocol does not prohibit laser systems where blinding is an incidental or collateral effect, but parties that agree to it must take all feasible precautions to avoid such effects.[11][12]”

Carl Benjamin (Sargon of Akkad) had taken Akkilah Hughes’ video and edited it down and gave it a new title. She had called it something like “We Thought She [Hillary] Would Win,” he called his edited version “SJW Levels of Awareness,” or something.

She sued, claiming he had infringed her copyright. She also complained that he was using her video to make fun of her.

In a pre-trial conference, the judge warned her that by admitting that Sargon’s edit was intended to make fun of her, she was also admitting his video was commentary, and therefore allowable fair use. He warned her that her claim had no merit and that she should desist.

She refused to do so. And she openly bragged on Twitter that her goal was not justice or restitution, but to take hundreds of thousands of dollars from this “white supremacist” and drive him to bankruptcy.

Courts do not look kindly on such improper motives. That may not lose a case for you, but in a later action to seek attorneys fees for a suit dismissed as meritless, that will count against you quite a bit.

    And so it did here.
