Above is a picture of some strongly SJW types. They are not the most pleasant faces to look at. Of course, some of them are overweight. Others have crazy dyed hair, odd facial expressions, hair going every which way, tattoos, body language that is less than welcoming, and so on.
I think that we can all agree that there is some serious unattactiveness there. The question is: how much of this is due to the actual physical attributes that we see, and how much is due to the fact that we associate a nasty SJW type personality with such people?
You know, the type of personality that absolutely knows that they are correct about everything, that the world should bend to their will, who believe that the world owes them something for seeing the world as it should be and having the corresponding correct views. The type of person who must make you understand all of the above. The kind of person like Bernie Sanders in his younger days, who got thrown out of a hippie commune because he wouldn’t shut up about this kind of stuff (he also didn’t do any work).
So how much ugly is on the inside and how much ugly is on the outside?
Here are more examples of high-powered SJW types

Aposematism (from Ancient Greek ἀπό apo away, σῆμα sema sign) refers to the appearance of an animal that warns predators it is toxic, distasteful, or dangerous. This warning signal is associated with the unprofitability of a prey item to potential predators.[1] The unprofitability may consist of any defences which make the prey difficult to eat, such as toxicity, foul taste or smell, sharp spines, or aggressive nature. Aposematism always involves an advertising signal which may take the form of conspicuous animal coloration, sounds, odours[2] or other perceivable characteristics. Aposematic signals are beneficial for both the predator and prey, since both avoid potential harm.

my late Mentor was a remarkable woman whose time with me changed my life for the better. but she didn’t put up with bs. i remember commenting that some other person i knew would love to be mentored by her, but her response was a bit harsh. she was willing, but that person needed to be committed. i couldn’t imagine why any woman wouldn’t want to be mentored by such a woman … to learn and grow and have someone invest in you to do so.
it didn’t take long for me to discover that very, very few truly want to learn and grow and face their own truth honestly.
i sometimes think that if i could just spend time one-on-one with some of these women, i could teach them and show them the truth, and they would be amazed and make diligent efforts to change their lives. but, alas, i remember the few … actually, of all those i thought would love to be mentored by her, not one was willing.
almost no one changes until living the way they are is more painful than doing the hard work to change. and that tipping place on the scale where it’s more painful to live than change? it’s not an exact science, nor is it the same for everyone. sadly. it’s even harder when a whole culture and society praise you for being an idiot, laud you for your insanity, and put you on a pedestal and parade you around for all to see.

A list of possible solutions to the sample problem published in the Common Core standards obtained by reporters indicated that “Ugh,” “I’m offended,” “Triggered,” “Trains scare me,” “Boston scares me,” “Milwaukee scares me,” and “Kill yourself,” would all be scored as correct.
“Any emotion, feeling, statement, or catchphrase is an acceptable answer to most of the problems in the new mathematics standards,” a Common Core representative told reporters. “As long as students are being sincere, genuine, authentic, and true to themselves at the time they are answering the question, that’s all we can ask as educators.”

Three men were killed late Friday when their vehicle drove through a gate at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and collided with a security barrier, base officials said.
The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle approached the Russell Parkway gate, but failed to stop as ordered by the sentry.
As the car accelerated through the gate, security personnel activated the barrier, which the vehicle struck “at a high rate of speed.”
“This is a tragedy which we all feel deeply at Robins Air Force Base. We will thoroughly investigate to determine the facts and circumstances and what can be learned from this tragedy”, said Col. Katrina Stephens, vice commander, 78th Air Base Wing. “Our thoughts are with the families of those lost.”

This is not your grandfather’s — or even your uncle’s — GOP. For generations, the GOP has accepted the role of the battered wife of American politics, cheated, beaten, and manipulated repeatedly with no response whatsoever. In fact, party officials — along with conservative spokesmen — have gone so far as to claim this as a virtue, in that being constantly humiliated in public was somehow keeping traditional values alive.
This, along with much else, has ended with Donald Trump. Trump has clearly demonstrated that the only way to answer a belligerent, hostile Left is to go blow for blow with leftists. He has continued this round after round and shows no sign whatsoever of backing off.

Already vented to Ame about this… but thought I’d tell y’all since it pertains to the “Feminine,” mind… One of my police wife friend’s husband was in an accident on duty a few days ago, and he was pinned between cars and is having his third surgery tomorrow to try to save his legs. I’ve just spent hours trying to get the psycho crazies who took over the group I used to be an officer (wife officer – not real officer) in, boy are they hard to work with. Very glad I told them I was too busy! Phew!
Here’s what the wife told me earlier today:
“Hey Stephanie, yes it was Ralph 😭 I got the phone call we all dread and it’s been a nightmare I can’t wake up from ever since. They are trying desperately to save his leg. He had his second surgery yesterday and the next will be Monday or Tuesday. The wound was typical of what the trauma surgeons see with an IED blast. We are praying that it will not be amputated. They took off half of his pinky toe yesterday in surgery. 😭 I’m just a mess. Thank you for checking in and keep us in prayer.”
Finally they decided to create a meal train so it could be easier for other wives to sign up for different days and get food to this family of 5. LOTS of wives were asking to help, and just waiting on these few catty women to do their job. Again… it took hours trying to get these women to make a food train. I knew I probably shouldn’t just do it, since I’m not officially in one of the officer positions of their group and didn’t want to risk two meal trains being set up and confusing people. Thank goodness they finally did. They hadn’t even tried to contact her.

A friend of mine worked for Hughes Aircraft in 1979 and we had a problem in Iran, what with the Muzzies seizing the country and all of the F-14s we’d sold them. So a crew of NOC Hughes (NOC: means non-official cover, or, the USG has never heard of you if you are caught) employees were hired to burn up those aircraft panels, which contained extremely advanced avionics, computers etc. for the day. Hughes customarily had a lot of such retired/separated military. The Wikipedia entry on the F-14 and its avionics notes the Hughes pedigree.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_F-14_Tomcat#Avionics_and_flight_controls
The Short Skyvan, shown in CdO’s excellent video, was ideal for infil because it is slow, fat and easy to land. It’s safe when you are handflying 100 or 50 feet above ground (AGL). Straight wing, obviously. Two modern turbines. (They tried Turbomecas but settled on American Garretts.) But it was a western aircraft and this was a “I know nothing” raid, owing to our hostages.
Short flying boxcar:
So the good guys chose a Russian workhorse of the steppe and Siberia: the Antonov An-2. This is an interesting plane. Cruises at 90 mph, not knots, on a single piston engine, a biplane, easily hauls a squad and their tools. Very low radar signature. Nine cylinder (gasoline-fired) radial. Tailwheel, and the gear is Russian truck strong. I think Antonov invented the auto-deployed leading edge slat for small planes, which eliminates this ship’s ability to stall. [Sidebar: The AGO’s primary infil/exfil aircraft for a long, long time was the Helio Courier, a piston-engine tailwheel plane that an MIT guy designed in the 1950’s — with auto-deployed leading edge slats. If you are landing that plane slow an unnerving behavior is the slats banging out and banging back, so it can’t be flown on the boundary: land it fast, or slow and get the slats out to stay.)
If you land either plane in too strong a headwind, you might be going backwards. So, basically, it’s a cheap helicopter for the bush. Even with zero thrust (i.e., engine failure) you’re going to hit the ground at 25 mph, so no one dies.
So my friend ran into Iran to blow up (well, actually, they burned them up, the cockpit supposedly constructed with magnesium, my info there is second-hand) F-14 avionics, and out again, at night (GPS didn’t exist, people) at 50-100 feet AGL. In a Russian single radial engine bush transport at 100′ at night. Zero casualties. As the MFs in the SAS say, “Those Who Dare”.
My friend has a wine bar in an unimportant town in the midwest. He told me that he thought he was serving the 22 year-old — become 52 year-old — for several months, who had flown him in and out of Iran. So finally he asked him, was rebuffed, and he was irked that he had poured him so many free glasses of wine.

My usual BV-can’t-post-picturesfuck-up: Apologies. Hate to waste people’s time.
An-2:
Anyone who smirks at Russian aircraft design capability is a moron. Their problem is money, not engineering.
People who fly piston aircraft, including P-51s, say there is exactly one aircraft with better control harmony than the Yak-50 (Yakovlev Design Bureau): the Spitfire. Here is a picture a Yak-50:
Same aircraft instruments as Yak jet fighters, you flew it by percentage of power, 4000 fpm departure climb rate, zero view of runway on landing. I mean, you cannot see the runway in the flare, as in Liz’ Dad’s Pitts. No electric start because piston Yaks were trainers in cold climes: you fire a pneumatic load of 1000+ psi air into that radial, and you’d best have drained the lower cylinders of oil first or you’ll bend a crank. This aircraft won the world aerobatic championship in the mid-1980’s, before the symmetrical wing planes took over.
This is the Helio Courier. It’s bigger and nastier than it looks. Really, really loud. You can get off with 2x rated useful load. The ones on the market all have significant gaps in their ownership history (i.e., they were planes working for the OGA). They were built with free-wheeling main gear, ostensibly to allow Air Force pilots to land without using their feet (JOKE! JOKE! I KEED!) but I always locked my gear and landed it like a Cub. Wolfgang Langewische never landed his ship looking at the ditch going sideways, and neither have I.
Thus are my irrelevant contributions to SpawnySpace today. BV OUT!
