Dresses and Skirts

When I was a kid, I wondered why the ladies would wear  dresses/skirts.  As I got older, I figured out that they did so to attract guys.  But I think there is more to the story.

Probably back in the olden days, the women word dresses to hide their lower figure.  They were also undoubtedly easier to make than pants.  Of course, the fellas needed pants to facilitate the hard labor outside that was expected of them; women not so much.

Probably over the years (at least in the modern era) women noticed that as the hem-line got higher, they attracted more attention.  Of course, in times past, one would want the hem-line to rise too high, as nobody wanted to be branded a slut (except for prostitutes and such).  Then in the 1960’s, all bets were off.  Short was AOK.  But would the fellas marry girls who wore short skirts?  I am betting that some women bet wrong.

Then we have today.  High hemlines are not so common. probably because they say slut.  Some things never change.  Perhaps someone out there has a different view on this.

So why are the fellas attracted to dresses/skirts?  The higher the hemline, the more suggestion there is of what is underneath.  That can’t be denied.  However, perhaps the attraction is that dresses/skirts are associated with women, and men want women to be women.   They are gratified to see women being women and are attracted to such.

Any other ideas?

Addendum by Deti:

Men like women in dresses because

1) Wearing dresses and skirts is uniquely feminine

2) Wearing dresses and skirts conceals the lower figure and leaves something to the imagination

3) The woman wearing the dress/skirt isn’t displaying all the goods. Her man is the only one who knows what she really looks like under there. Which leads to

4) Male ownership. Men have a sense of “ownership” over their women, especially their sexuality. Sure, maybe she goes where she wants and works where and how she wants, and sees her friends when she wants. But her sexuality belongs to HIM. HE “owns” it. And, in a sense, he owns HER, or at least that part of her. That’s what he wants.

He wants to be the only one who knows that about her – her form, how she looks there, how she feels, tastes, smells. He wants to be the only one who gets to go in there. And he’s the only one who goes in there because that part of her belongs to him. He “owns” that part of her.

how we dress really does affect our behavior … and dresses (often) make women feel more feminine, so they likely act more feminine (and sexy, depending on the dress … like the NYE dress Horseman shared for KH’s benefit … which, btw, was a brilliant way to make a great NYE dress!).

The Diplomad (“Politics of, by, and for the seriously disturbed”):
    https://www.thediplomad.com/2019/09/politics-of-and-by-seriously-disturbed.html

As you all know, the media ran lurid accounts of a mysterious and anonymous (of course) “whistleblower” who had revealed incredible evil doings by the Bad Orange Man in the White House, you know, the one who denied Hillary Clinton her rightful inheritance. President Trump mentioned the Bidens in a phone call! Oh the horror! It seems that this so-called President Trump had a conversation with the new President of Ukraine–how dare he!!!–in which the subject of corruption came up. This would not prove surprising, since the new Ukrainian president ran and won on a platform of ending the rampant political corruption in Ukraine. It seems that in discussing corruption in Ukraine the topic of the Bidens came up. No way around that.

You all know the back story. Joe served as Obama’s “point man” on Ukraine and China. Not clear why (except perhaps as a way to make Joe rich), but he was “point man” on two countries of which he has no particular knowledge. Well, you see, ol’ Joe has a ne’er do well son, by the macho name of Hunter. He got bounced from the Naval Reserve for drug use, has DUI arrests, and a bizarro personal life. He’s ostensibly a lawyer but is in reality a kid living off his father’s fame and position. Purely by accident, of course, Hunter got placed on the board of a corrupt Ukrainian energy company–along with John Kerry’s step-son–and paid somewhere between $50,000-$83,000 per month for his “advice.” Mind you the kid has no expertise in energy or Ukrainian affairs. Nice job. He also has a billionaire contract from the Chinese government for his firm. All of these things happened right after Daddy visited Ukraine and China. You can read up on all the sorry details. Joe Biden has bragged openly about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired who was investigating the firm that hired Hunter. It’s all very embarrassing.

Now thanks to the mad prog insistence on going after Trump for allegedly “pressuring” President Zelensky to sabotage Biden, that torpedo aimed at Trump is–as with all the other ones put in the water by the lefties–circling back. Biden is in trouble. Suddenly his corruption is an issue. This might help explain why Obama tried to talk him out of running; that torpedo might just make contact with SS Barack. It now seems clear, especially after the Russia hoax, that Obama-Biden ran the most corrupt and dangerous administration in our history. I cheer for that torpedo.

I am also concerned with yet another sign of progressive mental disturbance. Some 16-year-old Scandinavian girl, Greta Something Swedish, is being hailed as a great beacon of clarity and moral purpose in pursuit of another ongoing hoax, Climate Change. I heard her speak at some fake panel, and while full of admiration for her English, I must conclude that we are witnessing either an ardent student of the Meryl Streep School of Acting or a seriously abused child. If she’s not acting, I worry that she poses a danger to herself and others. Put her on suicide watch, at least. We have here a perfect example of a youngster programmed by some adults and sent forth much like we see Islamic child suicide bombers, or Mao’s Red Guard, or the Hitler Youth.

The left is so mentally disturbed that they want to kill as many children as possible, in the womb preferably, and turn those who live into robots spouting nonsense and preaching death and destruction which can only be avoided by giving the Progs more power over all of our lives.

Give us your children! Your guns! Your cars! Your hamburgers! Your air conditioning! We will control all and ensure we all live good lives. All praise to Gaia!

reminded me . . . years ago when married to my first Husband, and our girls were little, we had a babysitter who i really liked, but she came from a broken home and was wavering between those two seemingly elusive paths in life: right and wrong. we got to talking about sex in marriage once, and i told her that one of the things i loved about marrying young and being each other’s ‘first and only’ was that it was something only the two of us shared together … like a precious secret no one else would ever know about. interestingly, i remember my Husband was in the room when we were having this discussion. and, sadly, unbeknownst to me, he had been sleeping with prostitutes for quite some at that point. 😦

hadn’t thought of that memory in a long time.

this babysitter made a mother’s day picture for me, once, with the handprints of my little girls … i still have it 🙂

Abortion supporting MP outraged when prolifers show foetus on advertising billboard.
    ASA Advertising Standards Authority
Good Friday Agreement – the ‘peace’ treaty in Ireland

Today’s nonsense from Stella Creasy is a good snapshot of why I find most women’s involvement in politics to be detrimental to society. She wants to be able to push for something – ie abortion – and when faced with the very real consequences of it – ie that there is another human life involved – her reaction isn’t to amend her thoughts or apeal to nuance – no, it is to nag, shriek, demand the police help, call on the ASA, you name it, get anyone to shut down the nasty people telling the truth.

It is a huge difference between men and women. Many women think that reality is a subjective thing they can manipulate perception of, most men regard it as an abstract, objective concept.

The way women think is fine in domestic settings, indeed it allows a certain flexibility and, when matched with women’s superior understanding of psychology, allows women to navigate life. In politics it has been a disaster. As ultimately, if there is no objective reality then eventually all things based on reality, things like freedom, are subject to being whittled away when somebody’s feelings are being hurt.

Arguments about free speech and about whether the police should protect private property – the sort of thing an MP should care about – Creasy doesn’t even consider them. However, how to manipulate society to censor those she disagrees with? She is adept at that, playing the damsel in distress (when she isn’t angrily demanding the right to have babies aborted).

Also we can note the po-faced demands made from the likes of Creasy to “respect the Good Friday Agreement” and how it must stop us having a clean Brexit… but when the devolved government of Northern Ireland decides it doesn’t want abortion on demand for non-medical reasons and doesn’t want marriage redefined as being between two men? Then Creasy doesn’t give two hoots about said agreement.

This is just the way men and women are different. I am not moaning, it’s part of human nature. Throughout history every civilisation made the same decision – keep women away from politics. We chose otherwise and I think we are now facing the consequences.

For ultimately that is what abortion for non-medical reasons comes down to. It is subjectivity taken to an extreme degree. If the woman feels like it then it’s a baby, ultrasound photos to plaster all over facebook, special privileges to be gained, the best medical care… However if the woman feels like it then it’s a clump of cells that can be thrown away with no more care than a packet of crisps and if anyone tries to even discuss whether it’s a good idea they will be shrieked at and society directed to stampede all over them.

This reverses what had been a trend taking 2000 years where the west gradually extended the concept of what a human is. In even advanced ancient societies newborn babies were often regarded as not fully human. Slaves weren’t human. The enemy in war often wasn’t human. It took the white man around 1800 years to fulfil the promise of Christianity and it’s no coincidence that in the 19th century the recognition of slaves as human occurred around the same time, in historical terms, as the recognition that a baby in the womb is human. (Interestingly they couldn’t have known what 20th century science would show in their vindication, that the baby is a separate life form the very moment of conception with its own DNA.) In the long run I fear mother nature will declare her own verdict on this reversal for while Creasy is keen to widen “access” to abortion and white women enthusiastically take up the chance to be God, milions of immigrant women choose to have families and will, on current trends, eventually replace us.

I’ve debated on sharing this, just because it’s so embarrassing and I failed as a mother on so many different levels. But….. I think it needs to be said, if only to serve as birth control for the younger generation. Fair warning…. TMI AND POOP! 😂

Today after I picked up Sadie from school we went to the flood wall so I could run and they could play at the park afterwards.

After my run, I’m sitting at the picnic table, exhausted, drenched in sweat, watching my babies play, vowing to join them as soon as I rest up. At one point Sadie goes down the slide and then walks in front of me and I see “wet” shorts. I think, “okay she’s peed out of her diaper, no big deal.”

I go get her to change her and the closer I get the the more clearly I smell that it’s not pee. Still, not a big deal, what’s a poopy diaper? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Then I start to change her and I realize it’s a poop-trophe. 😳 I’m talking on of them poops you usually see in a newborn, where it’s all up then back and down their legs and you contemplate just throwing the whole baby away. 😬

Still…. I’m not panicked…. been there, done that, multiple times. 😏

I get a diaper and wipes, the wipes feel light… 😬 I start cleaning her up and there’s only FOUR wipes. This isn’t a four wipe kind of poop it’s pressure washer or open fire hydrant kind of poop. So I start looking for more wipes in the van. At this point, Sadie’s just standing there naked in an empty (thank God) the parking lot, with poop up her back in her hair, down her legs to her knees, even on her shoes, because taking her clothes off did not go as smoothly as one would hope. 🙃

I turn my back, frantically searching for more wipes. Nothing. I had just cleaned out the van yesterday. I got out any and all extraneous wipes, clothes, everything. I KNOW there’s no other wipes in there, but I search anyway. Then I hear it…. that painful SQQQUUUEEEAAAKKKKK of skin getting stuck to a plastic slide on the way down. I look up and yes, of course, it’s Sadie. 🤦🏻‍♀️ She’s going down the slide, butt naked, COVERED in poop, leaving a long skid mark of poop allllllll the way down on her way.

At this point I just give up. I chase down Layla, wrap Sadie in a blanket and buckle them in their car seats and leave. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    But wait, ✋🏼it gets better….. 😂
Leaving the poop there was not an option, first of all it’s poop, gross and needs cleaned up regardless. But second of all, Arionna is home deathly ill with a stomach virus (I think). What if Sadie’s getting that virus? There’s no way I’m leaving my kids slug trail of possibly contagious feces on this playground so some other kid can get sick. We live maybe 5 minutes from the park, so I rush home grab Clorox wipes, that are conveniently on my porch because I had used them yesterday to clean a few parts on the van, then rush back.

We get there and there’s still no one else at the park. I park on the gravel right by the slide, leave the van running with the a/c on, leave the babies buckled in, and go to clean the slide and rails.

    Easier said than done. 😐

I got the bottom and the main top easily, but the middle of the slide I could not reach. I tried to climb up it, but was unsuccessful. Keep in mind I’m REALLY out of shape and just ran a mile and a half. It’s 90 °, I’m WEAK, uncoordinated. To say I was struggling would an understandment.

Eventually, I get the brilliant idea to go down the slide and wipe as I go. Instead of risking a head injury I decide to go down feet first, on my stomach, holding on to the side to slow myself down with one hand and wiping with the other. This was not easy. I did not look elegant or attractive, I’m sure. I’m 254lbs of sweaty fat flopping around this children’s slide like a fish out of water. 🙄

When I get to the bottom, I’m finally satisfied with my cleaning job. I turn and see a car parked, a family, all of them with glaring at me…. I dunno how long they were there. I never heard them pull up. They never got out of the car. I genuinely think that we’re afraid of me, after all, I was an overweight seemingly childless adult, on children’s playground equipment. 😂😬🤷🏻‍♀️😩

Anyway, now dying of embarrassment, I rush to throw away my wipes and get in the van. I look down and realize there’s poop all over my shirt. Of course, I went down feet first. My clothes got the bulk of the poop. 😐

I am NOT getting that on my seat belt.

I am not getting a ticket or dying from not wearing a seat belt, no matter how short the drive.

So,….. I do the only thing I can think to do….. I drive home in my bra. 🙃🤷🏻‍♀️ That family is scarred for life I’m sure… 😩

We’re all home now; we’re alive, showered, traumatized, but okay. 😂 moral of the story? Always bring extra wipes, extra clothes, extra blankets, extra everything! 😂 Don’t clean out your car, ever. 😂 And if you aren’t mentally, emotionally, and physically prepared to roll around in another person’s feces… use a condom. 🙂🙃😂 You’re welcome! 😂

Rugby referees in the UK would rather quit their jobs rather than watch male players who identify as females injure and maim actual female players.

A DNA analysis of Jane’s vagina found no male DNA.

Despite these findings, indicating no sex occurred, Jane reported John to the Syracuse Police Department. Police investigated the claim and closed the case without charging John, since there was no physical evidence that any sexual contact occurred and Jane said in interviews she couldn’t remember what happened that night.

In June 2017, however, Jane took her claims to Syracuse University’s Title IX department. Jane initially told school investigators that she had no memory of the night in question but weeks later said she experienced “sudden flashes of memories following a visit to a therapist.”

After these allegedly recovered memories, Jane claimed John raped and sodomized her without her consent. Despite no physical evidence of her claims, Syracuse expelled John based on Jane’s say-so alone.

Re the above link “UK Rugby Referees Quitting Over Transgender Players Breaking Women’s Bones” (FB at 11:08 pm):

Women have only themselves to blame. The daft bints blamed the patriarchy for male superiority in combat and hard physical sport. Men who really are physically superior by nature know what the human male can achieve and the human female cannot. The impressionability of women has blinded them to the great physical superiority of men. Milksop men are mostly ignorant of it as well.

I didn’t read the whole thread but I was going to say that dresses are handy if you are the extemporaneous sort and a theres-the-kitchen-counter-beautiful-lean-over-and-inspect-it-for-a-moment enthusiast, but some asshole already mentioned it.This blog is going to hell.

Interesting (to me) that Boris’ security detail doesn’t wear neckties. It makes sense from a tactical fighting perspective, but usually the Americanos are less formal than the older cousins.
