The Mix sounds like a radio station, but rather it relates to something coming from this quote
I read a quote once that, if men don’t compute that there is at least a 50-50 chance of success, they don’t even bother to try, where a woman will keep trying past the point of harming herself.
More specifically, the a woman will keep trying past the point of harming herself part is of interest. Of course, this is referring to a woman and her dealings with men. Perhaps women should be lauded for the effort that they bring. But perhaps we should consider the situation further.
Yes, many women do put in considerable effort with respect to garnering attention of men. The real question is: what kind of attention are they trying for?
Often it is implied that they are virtuous and are only seeking attention for the sake of getting married and starting a family. Perhaps this was actually the case in the olden days. These days, in the late teens and early twenties, the mix for the working/professional girl is probably more like this (your mileage may vary),
10% Find a husband
20% Have “fun”
30% Soak up validation
40% Hot sex
If anybody out there wants to suggest different values, feel free to do so.
In the mid twenties, it is more like
30% Find a husband
10% Have “fun”
20% Soak up validation
40% Hot sex
In the late twenties
60% Find a husband
5% Have fun
10% Soak up validation
25% Hot sex
Come the thirties
90% Find a husband
10% Hot sex
For some, this mixture schedule works (seemingly for now). For others, it fails miserably in the end.
If only there was a mixture schedule that less likely to fail over the long run…
P.S. What might the churchian mix schedule look like?
