Perhaps a young man has the notion that he is on even footing with the women of his age group. He is not. It starts with the thirst; the especially strong desire in young men for women.
In times past, women were encouraged to use the power that comes from this to try to snag the best man they could for the long term, often focussing on his possession or his ability to obtain resources. Furthermore, this was often done at a younger age, when a young woman’s competitive leverage compared to other women trying to do the same would be highest.
Well, those days are done. With women having their own jobs, government welfare, and a general advantage in the system; they no longer need to seek men for the sake of resources. This has unleashed them to use their power over men for just about any desire they may have; be it tingles, adoration, validation, free drinks, free food, free travel, power trips, and so on. Furthermore, the rules of engagement are now murky; all the better to keep men off balanced, confused and with less power.
As a young man, one must understand this situation. You must decide how you will deal with it. But first, you must understand that it is there. There is no evil patriarchy holding women down, nor are matters egalitarian. Young men are at a disadvantage. Stay tuned for later installments of this series for ideas on how to proceed.
