In case you did not notice, there was a Woman’s March (but not pro-life women, or women who voted for Trump) last Saturday. Here are some of the speakers. Watch at you own risk.
The question arises: What do they actually want? Trying to glean from something coherent from their speeches, it is apparently “less oppression” (partly that is, more freedom to be sluts). Probably if they tried to get specific with their demands, they would sound silly. Which is why they remain nebulous.
Still there are other explanations. Here commenter RichardP states,
Women do not think like men. Women say “Stop trying to solve my problem; just listen to me vent”. Why do we expect that they would / should hold a mass demonstration the same way that men would?
Yes, indeed. Women like to vent. Men want to solve the problem. An old Manosphere truism. Who can argue.
But there is more,
From my life experience, and from many stories in the manosphere, it is apparent that women do not like to be held accountable / called to account. So standards are fuzzy or non-existant. Rules are there to be ignored. They seem to approach each situation with the attitude that, it doesn’t matter, there will always be a do-over if this doesn’t work out (so performance and outcomes don’t matter). It is no wonder they are upset that someone has been elected who has the gall to say “this is right, that is wrong”, “we will do this, we won’t do that”, someone who says they will set standards against which behavior / performance will be measured. For those who dislike being called to account, any one who dares to establish a performance standard is the enemy.
A foundational question for any society is this: “Given that we have chosen to freely associate, how then shall we live our lives?” For those who don’t like being called to account, “any way we want to” is the preferred answer. Anyone who would dare establish a set of rules or standards as an answer to the question “how then shall we live our lives” is the enemy.
Michael Moore called for those who sympathized with the march to get involved in politics at all levels – to have a voice in creating the rules and setting the standards that answer the question “how then shall we live together”. Typical male response. He doesn’t understand that those whose response is “any way we want to” aren’t going to be bothered to get involved in the process of establishing rules and standards. Their goal is to not have any rules and standards (except for their rule to not have any rules and standards). Michael Moore gave an admirable list of action points. Silly man – trying to solve their problem for them. He doesn’t know they don’t want any one solving their problem for them. They just want someone to listen to them vent.
Same as it ever was.
Is it lack of accountability that they want? Perhaps, maybe in the short run. In the long run, maybe they do want to be held accountable. Another common Manosphere truism is that Feminism is just a giant shit test. Perhaps they want to be told to shut up.
Capatin Kirk is an Alpha – not going to put up with that shit.
Donald Trump is an Alpha. He is effectively ignoring it while he maintains frame elsewhere. If men follow Trump’s lead, then maybe this shit test can neutralized. This might be a bit more than a dream, as fortunately most of the Pajama Boy types votes for Hillary and not Trump.
