Feminists (and SJW types in general) like to try to quickly and easily dispose of an opponent by name calling with such terms as misogynist, sexist, racist, xenophobic, etc.  The gentleman in the above video makes this point. He suggests that this is one reason why people are turning against them; that is, they are apparently too lazy to even have a discussion.  He suggests that instead of instantly reaching for the names, that a dialog with other people would work better.

I might suggest that it is a good sentiment, but he is barking up the wrong tree here.  There are good reasons that these people do not engage in a dialog, other than being lazy.  The primary one is that once facts and logic are introduced into a conversation, then the lefty perspective typically falls apart.  Name-calling is just a pre-emptive approach to avoiding this happening.

Why do these positions typically fall apart?  Well, there are often many reasons, but perhaps the biggest is that these people just do not have a good model of human nature.  Or maybe more precisely, they have a model that deliberately ignores the truth of human nature.  Deep down, many know this.  This is why they work so diligently to avoid any real dialog on much of anything.

To be honest, I am not sure why the above fella suggests dialog as a solution.  Perhaps he actually believes that these positions can stand up under scrutiny.   Maybe he lives in a closed bubble where there are many discussions, with most of them being “how many angels can fit on the head of a pin” types; deliberately avoiding areas of relevance.

You tell me.  How does one discuss anything with a Feminist / SJW type?

Words. Huhh! What are they good for? (h/t to “War”)

Consider a fact sequence that is ignored everywhere.

    – Radio broadcasting was adopted and built up as a means to sell products.
    – Women in the modern age have usually been the ones to make purchasing decisions.
    – Therefore, the words used in radio broadcasts had to be of the sort that attracted women’s attention rather than drove them away.

    – Television broadcasting was adopted and built up as a means to sell products.
    – Women in the modern age have usually been the ones to make purchasing decisions.
    – Therefore, the words used in television broadcasts had to be of the sort that attracted women’s attention rather than drove them away.

As a result, the national dialogue, carried on first over radio, then television, has devolved into a conversation that only uses words that will attract women rather than drive them away. The generations raised on this have no other frame of reference. A conversation that will attract women rather than drive them away is the national way to speak. And so that manner of speaking has carried itself over into the social media of today.

It has been posited that women as a whole are not very good with understanding cause and effect. So, if you want a conversation that will attract women rather than drive them away, you must have a conversation completely devoid of any reference to cause and effect.

The national conversation carried on through radio, television, and now social media has mainly been devoid of any serious mention of cause > effect sequences. Conversations carried on within feminism abound with mention of cause > effect sequences (men bad, just because), without any serious examination of whether those cause > effect sequences stand up under scrutiny. Because, in general, women are not good at understanding cause and effect. If true, serious scrutiny of the cause > effect sequences the feminists foist onto each other is not possible by them.

So – based on all of the above, I would argue that the problem is not that “they have a model that deliberately ignores the truth of human nature”. I would argue that “these people just do not have a good model of human nature”. Because I think they do not really “get” human nature. Understanding human nature requires that one be able to truely understand cause and effect.

Women generally don’t understand cause and effect, so say the “experts”. Men raised on the public conversation that has been radio, television, and now social media, have not been immersed in cause and effect because that is absent from the conversation – in order to not drive the women away. So – unless they got a good grounding in critical thinking with regard to cause and effect from their father – men are going to understand it less well than they otherwise could. And how many men alive now were raised in homes where the father was ejected?

But I’m probably wrong. Because the experts say there is no difference between raising a boy in a single-mother home or a home with father and mother present. (/sarc)

My response: I didn’t ask why (answer: because). I asked how.

Re-reading what I posted above, a light went on: if women truely are not good with cause and effect, then it would be almost impossible to know when “because” is the correct response.

  11. fuzziewuzziebear says:

I think that RichardP is on to something profound. It is, given the example of Radio and Television, true that we have aligned our whole society to pander to women in the belief that they spend eighty five cents of every discretionary dollar. There is one flaw in that presumption, single women can’t spend their husband paycheck because they don’t have one.

Just an amateur opinion, but I don’t think they’ll ever be cured. The appropriate stage in development has been missed. They’re permanently FITH and society needs to find a way to manage the overgrown toddlers and keep them away from good people and the levers of power. I am waiting for the press conference where he winks and says relax baby, I got this, letting everyone know he is gaming the system

He’s a business man. Bottom line will count, results etc over image to a certain degree. During the campaign his image counted more then anything else. Now that is less true

Also…. he has already gotten parts of what he wanted. Illegals are self deporting, Mexico and Canada agreed to renegotiate NAFTA, things are calmer between the usa and Russia, looks like China wants to play nice.

I also think he’ll avoid social issues as much as possible which would be his biggest obstacles. A lot of rank and file dems will be happy about self deportation, renegotiating NAFTA etc.

Lefty views are RELIGIOUS. They seek out info to make it fit, rather than seek out a view to fit the facts. And the self-hatred that goes with it is a heritage from Calvinism (sorry!)

Off topic/energy – I think nuclear is best for decent countries (because of security and properly handling waste).

I think Trump is a feminist, he talks about hiring women and how well they do in ‘the art of the deal’. But he doesn’t take it farther than that, he doesn’t say women are superior or talk about ‘positive discrimination’ quota.

  86. Things men have to do.

This morning the Mrs found a raccoon beside the porch acting weird. Curled up ignoring the dogs, wobbling.

    Yup distemper.

Kept the critters in. Both had to go to work.
Left early to get home before the Mrs.
Didnt want her to deal or see it.
Raccoon was wobbling around the driveway.
    Just a young one.

No ammo in the house. (duh!)
So had to put the critter out of its misery up close and personal with a long handled tool and my strength.
Buried it deep in the field to keep the barn cats from getting it.

Mrs pulls up as I am sterilizing the tools in the driveway.
“Oh.” She says. Gives me a pat and lets me finish up

Taking a life, even in mercy, even a critter is no easy thing.
It shouldn’t be or one becomes heartless.

Its the difference between combat and murder.
An enemy intent on harm or an innocent.
The first without hesitation, the latter with great consideration

This was the latter, just a critter lost
But unintentionally its disease put mine at risk.

So you do what needs to be done.
Not the first time. Not the last I am sure.

So I said words for the little one as I buried it to honour its death
    Now its done.
    I will sleep tonight.

I see this in childrearing, too. When it gets difficult, I thankfully have the “I will tell your father” back-up plan. When it gets difficult, those are the most important times, but those are exactly the time I’m just overtired and lose my patience and my vision.

Yoda, About Keith Olbermann, he can’t go anywhere with this. Hillary supporters are urban. What is odd about cities is that trucks go in full and they all come out empty. They produce nothing and are dependent on suburban and rural America. Keith Olbermann has no base to start a revolution from.

I think Farm Boy linked that picture earlier. It is like Hillary’s photo was merged with George Soros’s. It also looks as if she is on her way to looking like Emperor Palpatine. Wes hsould get her a robe with a hood.

If true, it demonstrates a weak willed person and is not the mental frame of some one you want in a leadership position

Hillary, learn to bake cookies she should.

Gidday Spawny and mates. I have here a photo of Tom the Maori wearing a trump wig as if I didn’t know he is Trump’s biggest fan already. Fair go mate I’m laughing near fit to cack myself. I can’t post it on your blog mate but just look at a globe of planet Earth with the polar icecap on top and that’s Tom’s head under the wig mate.

Threatening President-elect Donald Trump and the people close to him seems to have become a popular trend among liberals in the past week.

On Sunday, MTV News and former Buzzfeed editor Rachel Zarrell chimed in with a disgusting and immature new threat against Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

“I swear to god if Mike Pence tries to regulate my uterus I will mail him a monthly bag of period blood,” Zarrell wrote on Twitter.
