Women Voters For Hillary

The election is over.  How well did Hillary do with women?  Let us consider.  From the website fivethirtyeight,

CLINTON TRUMP
White men 31% 63%
White women 43 53
White women college graduates 51 45
White women non-college graduates 34 62
White men college graduates 39 54
White men non-college graduates 23 72

It is somewhat surprising that white women went so strongly for Trump, 53% to 43%.  Perhaps the feminine imperative and the expected goodies from a Hillary election was not so strong.  Or perhaps they could not resist Trump the Alpha.  Maybe some of them realized that Hillary’s expected gravy train for women would only be a mirage.  Let us hope that this last supposition is more true than not.

Next, consider the white women who were non-college graduates.  Trump won them by 28 percentage points.  This is a real thumping.  Once again, they may have realized that Hillary probably could not truly deliver.  Perhaps they figured that Trump would help the economy such that the man in their life could get a better job.  Of course, Trump’s awesomeness in slaying all comers (MSM, the Establishment, etc.) made them realize that this was their champion.

Trump did not do so bad with white women college graduates either, losing by just six points.  These are the SIWs, the SJWs, the indoctrinated.  Perhaps the indoctrination was not as effective as expected.  What do you think?

But then again, much of it might have been due to Hillary herself.  She is just so unlikable, and filled with the stench of corruption.  Perhaps she, herself, was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

We lost two biggies within days: Leonard Cohen and Leon Russell. Here is a taste, for those who like this kind of music. And thank God for bountiful women.

Leon Russell drove the original Mad Dogs and Englishmen. Here, Tedschi and Trucks recreate that music in 2015, with a much older Leon Russel on piano.

Gotta be in the right mood or this one will get you down. But, my goodness, the passion in the song and the singing.

    Farm Boy,
I don’t know what to think about the way women voted but, you did bring up a good point. Hillary Clinton had to be the worst imaginable candidate for President that could be found, ever. A lot of it may have been that. So, this may not be the best test for the solidarity of Team Woman. Also, there is the point you came close to making, feminism has gotten so radicalized that it is contrary to the feminine imperative and the interests of women.

Getting back to the original post, in the wake of the Obama/Romney election, women could be divided into two camps. The married ones were for Romney and less taxation while the single women were for Obama and more gimmedats. There weren’t enough married women to carry. This time, it wasn’t just married women.

  13. I noticed this irl pretty early in, before the conventions even. Women I knew who I fully would have expected to vote for her (boomers, educated, umc, lifelong dems) said they weren’t going to. There wasn’t really a single specific reason.

However it appears from my FB account I rarely check anymore, that it was the exact opposite in women my age or younger who lived in New York, San Fran, Seattle, etc. they all seemed absolutely baffled how everyone couldn’t have voted for her.

Very dramatically different, like two different universes different. Odd. I don’t totally understand it myself but that’s what the breakdown seems to be?

Perhaps the pro-H camp were all in some sort of echo chamber and could not see how unpopular she was outside of that bubble?

One girl I worked with in the late 90s who moved to NY shortly after had the most self indulgent status update ever, about how despite her immense grief she was forcing herself to focus on making a living and going thru the motions of life bc it was her small act of protest to keep living despite the horror of it all, or something like that. Over the top draaaaama. And all her friends were “supporting her” and “felt her pain” etc. etc. She’s single, never married, no kids, has cats, cant figure out why shes alone, btw…surprise!

I think it’s terrifying that despite being highly educated and thus supposedly being able to digest a lot of info, think critically, and so forth, some people would still vote Hillary. That shows that indoctrination must be extreme – if it can get to the smart ones at all, that they would vote for someone so corrupted.
Maybe there is something inherent to the education system, and voters should be separated into STEM educated people and social ‘sciences’. The first requires intelligence, the latter mostly rote learning. Rote learning and indoctrination will probably go hand in hand…

I don’t think it was bc “she was a girl.” Had little if anything to do with it. They probably would have liked to vote for a female pres, but did not feel H was right, which says even more about how there were other reasons that even overcame that!

To be honest, STEM is no guarantee that people will think logically with respect to these matter. I have always wondered why this is.

Filed away in my ‘Mistakes not to make in future’ file, my assumption growing up was that if I was proficient at my (STEM) craft and chose the right job, I wouldn’t have to deal with that insane world out there. Turns out, working with others (and the consequent politics) is mandatory, regardless of career choice and proficiency. Who knew?

As Ton will no doubt confirm, there is a world of difference between booksmarts and streetsmarts. My mistake was in thinking sufficient booksmarts would obviate the need for streetsmarts.

Politics requires a different set of assumptions than STEM fields do. You can’t assume people will choose the optimal path for the goal they say they’re pursuing. Bonus points if you can determine the path they’re actually pursuing, and anticipate what they think will get them there.

    News Update from Canada

The flood of Trump-fearing American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week. The Republican presidential campaign is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans who fear they’ll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, and live according to the Constitution.

Canadian border residents say it’s not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, liberal arts majors, global-warming activists, and “green” energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

“I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn,” said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. “He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn’t have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?”

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming. Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.

“A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions,” an Alberta border patrolman said. “I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp and arugula. All they had was a nice little Napa Valley cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they’re sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high-hairers.”

Rumors are circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the ’50s. “If they can’t identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age,” an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD’s, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones.

“I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can’t support them,” an Ottawa resident said. “After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?

He’s pretty much back to himself minus vision loss in one eye. They are unsure if that will improve or not, they say it will take 6-12 months to find out. But he’s driving, working on his motorcycle, and other stuff as usual! Not back to work yet but hopefully soon. His memory and personality and thinking seem unaffected, which is amazing considering the blow to the head he took. It’s a miracle, really. I am so happy for my daughter’s sake, and his.

She believes in the “wage gap” and the interviewer suggested that all the male staff be replaced with women for an instant savings. “It is more complicated than that” was her response.

By the way, to set the record straight, Ford was the only US automaker that got all its ducks in a row before the 2008 recession.I don’t know how they knew but they were prepared and never took a nickel of TARP money.
