Our media is running with the consequences of the election. The trouble appears to be that they’ve forgotten that they were lying grievously about everything Trump up to the election.

World peace is not more in danger because of Trump (as they’re saying), illary was the risk.

So let’s all celebrate the German (and therefore the EU) response.

I’m having Schadenfreude soup for starter. Followed by Schadenfreudeschnitzel with Schadenfreude sauce and a side dish of mashed Schadenfreude. The delicious Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte dessert will be smothered in delicious Schadenfreude. Rounded off with various euro-cheeses on schadenfreude crackers.

Perhaps controversially, I will accompanying the meal with a fine vintage Chateau Schadenfreude Rouge. Because we should not forget the French in these difficult times.

    Great times.

I liked the speech, but (perhaps quietly) unleash the legal process on the swamp. And start to try and fix the voting process for next time. No more mass fraud. It’s embarrassing for such a country. (we have postal vote issues that are still unaddressed)

i do not think that either party should be gloating right now.

DT won the electoral college, but HRC won the popular vote. neither won by a huge margin.

both the house and the senate moved towards a 50/50, although the GOP has the majority for now.

this just shows how really divided this country is. if DT doesn’t get some real stuff done in his first year, theres a good chance that the people will get frustrated enough to move the senate to D control, and move the house towards the left.

he’d better walk the talk from day 1.

Here’s what I think this election says.

The typical Trump voter: “Trump is a toxic asshole, a billionaire blowhard who is immoral and deeply flawed. But hey man, he spoke to me. Despite his complete moral depravity and questionable statements, he seems to relate to me. He seems to understand what my life is like, what it’s about, what I’m afraid of, what I want, and what I need.

“Something else — we’re tired of liberals, the media, and every other aggrieved minority group shitting on us. We’re tired of being blamed for others’ problems. We’re tired of having to foot the bill for others’ problems. We’re tired of being blamed when we pay for your problems, and then they get worse. We’re tired of being called racists, sexists, homophobes and bigots when we’re none of those things. It doesn’t matter what we do — you will still accuse us of every -ism in the book. We just don’t give a shit about that anymore. It doesn’t mean a damn thing. So go ahead and call me names. I don’t care anymore.

“We don’t care about your name calling, your pet projects, your social engineering, and your social justice warrioring. It’s got nothing to do with day to day life, like earning enough money to support myself, not being raked over the coals in a divorce, taking care of my kids, and hopefully leaving them with a decent future.

“We are two different nations: Trump supporters and HIllary supporters. I have nothing in common with Hillary or her supporters. I am not out there nursing this grievance or that. I don’t have time for that. We need to get on with the business of life, and Hillary didn’t give us any of that. So fuck you. And fuck you to the media too.”

  47. RichardP says:

Over and over they said “how could we have been so wrong?” Over and over they said “we are going to have to parse the numbers and see where we went wrong in the polling”.

    1. This is not their father’s world. Many folks who voted are enough off the grid that the pollsters never saw them, and thus did not know they existed.

    2. If the Wikileaks eMail dump is correct, the Democratic National Committee conspired to keep Bernie Sanders from winning the nomination for Democratic candidate. If true, then Hillary was really not the candidate that the majority wanted to represent them. Ms. Clinton and the talking heads ignored this reality. “She’s the candidate, that must mean the people like her. That must mean she’s going to win”. They perhaps would not have been so opimistic if they had instead thought thusly: “Ms. Clinton was annointed winner by the powers-that-be in the party and not by the voters. Therefore, we might be surprised by what the voters actually have to say.” That statement, combined with the truth of Point 1.

  53. Agreed Deti, they “picked the wrong pony” so to speak. Even early polls showed Sanders had a better chance against Trump than she did. It wasn’t about gender, although I see the media wailing on about how “sexist” of a country this proves us, it was because she was not the D people’s pick. So they weren’t enthused. The US is extremely divided. The average trump voter is way, way past sick and tired of being called racist, sexist, homophobic and bigoted. He (which includes the feminine sex) is tired of being told to “check your privilege”. He’s not a racist or sexist or homophobic and he’s not a bigot. He isn’t privileged — he earns $60k a year as a union welder or as a high school teacher. He is just trying to live his life and take care of his family. He can’t relate to people telling him how awful and terrible everything is all the time. He knows it’s bad, and other people have it bad. But that’s not his fault.

The average Hillary voter believes, truly believes, that the man/woman described above is “deplorable”. He truly believes that Trump supporters are keeping America from its true destiny as a melting pot, where justice and freedom reign supreme. Trump and his ilk stand in the way of America leaving behind its racist, sexist and bigoted past. The average Hillary voter wants globalism and protectionism for everyone EXCEPT the average Trump supporter — but that average Trump supporter will be expected to foot the bill. The average Hillary voter cannot believe that Trump supporters are refusing to foot the bill. Because, you see, they’re just… wrong. Because they are. They and cannot for the life of them understand why anyone could possibly not support Hillary, who stands for progress, justice, fairness, and “making the rich pay their fair share”. I mean, how could anyone be against that?

That’s the divide we face today.

You talk about white men forgetting their balls, because they are so ‘tolerant’?
I think you are mistaken. Speaking from mainland Western Europe, upper middle class whites) background (we still have a large white middle class)…
We like the Russians who beat rapefugees into a pulp, admirable brawlers defending their women, but it is not our style.
If there comes (more of) a civil war, you will not find so many white men brawling like drunkards in the street. Not many will riot.
This is not due to a lack of balls. This is simple snobbery. They find it distasteful to be seen doing such things (a gentleman will walk but never run?).
You forget however, that white men are some of the smartest, best educated ones out there. Although they do have something (status, jobs, etc) to lose if they get arrested… They are not like the retard terrorist who spend all of half an hour to make an amateur bomb any fool could make. When patience runs out, I think muslims will start to disappear mysteriously. Entire no-go areas will be laid to waste. But technology and discretion will be used.
And the ‘no balls’ white men will sit and smile and shake hands and walk, but never run.

Oh they have balls. And brains. And class…

When white men get angry, things will get creepy.

I am one who people confide in easily. I hear things people don’t usually say aloud.

UK media says that Trump is deplorable. They’re still telling the same lies that they did before. They are convinced that he’s a wrong ‘un. The central EU leadershit (barring Theresa May) is deploring the choice.

BREXITeers understand entirely where you’re coming from. The followers of Marine Le Pen (45% in the polls for Prez of France) are with you. Geert Wilders of Holland understands.

Basically Europe is a mirror of the States. The media and political elite are horrified. The people that are being shafted are with you. The establishment love calling the Trumpers thick and white, to attempt to shame you. We BREXITers know the feeling.

The establishment is so far up their own arses that they believe their own narrative. They are in shock that real people see through their lies to reality (as described by Deti). I’d be very unsurprised if the MBTI types are rather unequally distributed between the two sides.

Also, I see in the UK media. Your enemies are still at the dealing stage (at best). A black dem woman was demanding that Trump apologises for what he’s accused of saying during campaigning. To be a leader, Trump has to do what the dems want. Pretty sure that Trump knows not to apologise to dems. To start is to never stop. To do it has them pulling you into their swamp.

I think that you might just have saved western civilisation from relentless corruption and destruction. As an Englishman BREXIT was the most important event for me, but even for me, Trump comes close. I was perhaps more optimistic than was reasonable, but I never had doubts over Trump as I did over BREXIT after St Jo of Cox was murdered by a nutter. If they had a re-run, best expect an assassination. Bill or Chelsea were lucky this time, I say somewhat seriously. Do you think that if either had been shot, the result wouldn’t have gone to her?

I think that the French national police marching on the presidential palace should have shaken the establishment. There are fires burning down buildings identified as immigrant shelters across Europe, it seldom gets reported. If it does the media is very low key. I see a successful brexit as being very key to keeping things peaceful here.

The elite is blind to growing tensions. I cite the fact that many think they were shocked by the reaction to three lefty-placemen europhile judges deciding to try and block/slow down brexit. There’s going to be a march in London lead by Nigel over it.

Merkel is making reluctant moves towards sanity, but it’s far too late for her. Hollande is gone next Spring, he’s on 4% in the polls. Le Pen on 45%. Even the UK europhile MPs are saying they’ll vote through legislation to trigger the EU exit process (article 50). Why? belief in honouring the will of the people? stupid boy! Because they’ll be gone if there’s a General Election. And May may be forced to call one if A50 doesn’t go through. The brexit feeling has got stronger since the referendum.

IDK about sports teams Ton, athletes aren’t revered as much here.

What makes white men so different is largely a matter of scale. The ones who brawl a little are not typical. The ones who stay silent then make a huge impact are, just wait for it. Saxons have definitely not lost their balls.

Your average jihadist is extremist but unintelligent and has no style. Random shootings, amateur bombs, using their own cars and going back to their old neighborhoods. Causing a lot of media attention and anger. The average white man is mellow, but has skills. I know men with little interest in politics who can make mushroom clouds, who use garden pond equipment to DIY guns that can blow through steel plates. They can think ahead and plan things. There are many such white men, and the limits of tolerance are being reached right about now.

Next elections will put Le Pen and Wilders in power. If they fail to restore order, the Saxon will show his savage roots with a vengeance. For immigrants sake, hope that the right politicians do make a dent. Because if the scale of the solution does not satisfy, things will really go crazy.

I think trump’s election as well as Le Pen and Wilders’ continued viability as political forces in their nations, are just responses to, and causes of, more and more seething anger and resentment.

The lefty political blogs are roiling with rage and opposition today. They’ll oppose everything Trump and the GOP want. They can’t believe they lost. one good thing has come from this, and that is that the Dems are done with the Clintons. Illary is utterly DONE as a presidential possibility. She has been denied the presidency once and for all; and that is a good thing. A very very good thing.

But the left will see this as them being denied what’s rightfully theirs. More resentment. More anger. More rage that will spill out onto the streets.

And in all fairness, if Illary had won, the Trumpenistas would be seething with anger, rage and resentment. But they likely wouldn’t riot; they’d just go to their jobs and hope for another crack at it 4 years hence, and worry more and more about the midnight knock on the door, what the liberals would want as their very own Kristallnacht.

There was a Leo on a blog who said that poor whites were the most dangerous. I thought Ton agreed with that last I mentioned it.

What amuses me about the educated white folk is that many can’t see that they’re next. Either to lose their jobs in turn, or to be taxed into poverty to pay for welfare. That’s the elite miscalculation, it isn’t just working class uneducated types that can see how things are and where they’re headed.

Whites with educated jobs do see it. They lie, when you ask them their political views. Too taboo, they don’t want to lose their positions and standing. They were smart enough to become scientists, doctors… they are smart enough to pretend. A while ago, they believed the left, because they didn’t frequent the bad neighborhoods where the problems were. They thought poverty=crime. But with internet all things come to the light, and problems are seeping out from the cities into the entire land.
These last few years, I have noticed many educated whites very carefully gauging whether or not it was safe to talk about these things. I know a white educated feminist woman who has voted for a Turkish woman because she was a Turkish woman (!), who now admits she does not want foreign neighbors, that this or that group of foreigners is lazy, etc. To me, not to everyone.
I am one people confide in easily, I’m just a housewife. There is a civil war going on, some people say it is coming, but I feel it has already started. Blood has been spilled already. The Swiss have warned their own citizens to arm themselves…

Good stuff from Scott Adams this is

Did the United States Just Elect a Monster?

No. Clinton’s team of cognitive scientists and professional persuaders did a terrific job of framing Trump as scary. The illusion will wear off – albeit slowly – as you observe Trump going about the job of President and taking it seriously. You can expect him to adjust his tone and language going forward. You can expect foreign leaders to say they can work with him. You can expect him to focus on unifying an exhausted and nervous country. And you can expect him to succeed in doing so. (He’s persuasive.) Watch as Trump turns to healing. You’re going to be surprised how well he does it. But give it time.

I’ll be doing my persuasive best to help our new president unify the country. I’m not a monster either – just a little bit deplorable when the situation calls for it. And I would ask other Trump supporters to step up and be useful as well. If you helped elect Trump, you have a responsibility to calm the nerves of Clinton supporters who also have their country’s best interests in mind. Let’s all be worthy of our decisions.

How did you know this would play out like a movie?

About a year ago I started telling you in this blog that the Trump journey to the presidency would play out like a great movie script. And it did. Movies generally have three acts:

Act 1: The hero’s life abruptly changes.

Act 2: The hero encounters and solves one problem after another, in an entertaining fashion.

Act 3: The hero faces a seemingly insurmountable problem.

Finale: Against all odds, the hero succeeds.

The audience can’t always tell when the third act has arrived because all of the hero’s problems seem big until solved. I thought we reached the Third Act in Trump’s campaign about five different times since May. In retrospect, the real Third Act happened on election night when Trump was behind in nearly every poll. THAT is an insurmountable problem.

Then Trump won anyway. Like a movie.

How did I predict it would turn out so movie-perfect? I saw the following situation developing:

    1. The social bullying coming from Clinton’s supporters guaranteed that lots of Trump supporters were in hiding. That created the potential for a surprise result, so long as the race was close.

    2. Trump’s powers of persuasion are better than I have ever seen from a living human. That made it likely that the election would be close. And people generally vote for their party’s candidate, so that too promised a close election.

    3. The mainstream media backed Clinton. That created a situation in which she was likely to be ahead at some point near the end of the election cycle.

    4. The business model of the news industry guarantees lots of “scandals” on a regular schedule. Small things get inflated to big things, and I assumed there would be plenty of them. Trump has the skill to overcome medium-sized scandals and bumps in the road. That’s all you need for an entertaining Second Act.

    5. Once I framed this election as a movie script, it primed you to see events that way. Our brains are movie-trained to recognize the three-act form. That’s why all movies use it.

    6. Act One happened when Trump announced he was running. Act Two developed during the primaries and continued to the general election when Trump overcame one medium-sized problem after another. Act Three was defined by the Access Hollywood tape and Trump subsequently falling behind in the polls all the way to Election Day. The Finale was our collective discovery that Trump was right about the polls undercounting his support. It turns out he was Keyser Söze all along – and by that I mean smarter than you thought.

    Backstory here it is,

’m sure most of you recall the convoluted tale of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana. The local media, frustrated by their failure to find any actual wedding catering outfits who would refuse to service a gay wedding, began calling around to every business in the state which served food of any kind until they finally found a person answering the phone at a mom and pop pizza joint who said they would be “uncomfortable” doing so. That opened the flood gates for the SJW, who attempted to shut down their business, only to be thwarted when supporters across the nation raised nearly a million dollars for the owners.
