Trump the Alpha

What are Trump’s chances in the Presidential Election?  It hard to say precisely.  He is unconventional and unpredictable, his opponent might have to bow out due to legal reasons, and things just seem a bit crazy this year.

But one thing that is clear is that Trump is not a conventional candidate.  Early in the primary race, he uttered in quick sequence some very politically incorrect statements.  The news media naturally thought that the normal script would be followed by a Republican who did so, groveling apologies followed by a reasonably quick exit from the race.  Well, that did not happen.  His popularity increased.  The news media was not driving the situation though, the polls were.  The media naturally believe that they can drive the polls, but in this case their attempts to do so did not work.

Trump effectively ignored the media and plowed ahead.  He further gained in the polls. The media was mad for two reasons: they hate Trump and they did not like their impotence.  So naturally, the media doubled down in their attacks.  No effect.

Trump operates by his own rules, not those laid down by the media.  And everybody saw it.  This is what an alpha does.  Even if people do not really know what an alpha is, they do have at least a vague sense about these things.  The question is, how does it matter?

Men will follow a leader.  It is built-in.  There are many disaffected men out there who are looking for a leader.  Trump says that he is it.  For them, he probably is.  There are actually many of these men out there, of all races and ethnicities.    The men not in this category sense a strong leader, and will gravitate toward him at least a bit.  For men, in the voting booth, can they choose Hillary over Trump?

Of course, all of the manosphere knows that women go for alpha guys.  Guys who make their own rules.  Guys who, when appropriate, emanate ZFG.  Naturally enough, women do not want to admit as much; not to pollsters, not to their frenemies.  There is undoubtedly a Bradley Effect happening, where women are not telling pollsters the truth.  So who will they vote for in the booth?

I have been wanting to see someone run that would not candy coat or mollycoddle. I was hoping for a new version of Harry S. Truman. Truman, as president, had the advantage over Trump because he did have a political background. What concerns me about Trump, should he win, is if he will get cooperation from the Beltway as he is running as an outsider.

I believe the momentum is with the Republicans. It seems to fall to the challenging party after eight years of a less that stellar administration.

This is not a problem of any kind. This cause is embarrassingly chicken shit. (Yes, I said it.) Paper products have been subject to sales tax as long as I can remember. Had the feminists done the math, I’ll bet that they pay more in sales tax over their lifetimes for toilet paper. they’re not going to say a pep about that because men also use it.

I think that they may be trying to open the door to making women exempt from taxes.

On Friday, a group of 78 representatives signed a letter asking the Department of Education (ED) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) how they would enforce the new interpretation of federal law to grant transgender people access to facilities that do not correspond to their biological sex. Denouncing the “suggested guidance” as an overreach on behalf of the federal government, the representatives challenged the authority of these agencies to issue such an order.

In effect, the Obama administration unilaterally altered federal law by redefining “sex” to include gender. As the letter makes clear, “this guidance expands the ED and DOJ’s interpretations of sex discrimination to include not only an individual’s biological sex, but also an individual’s internal sense of gender.”

“The Obama administration’s edict redefining long-standing definitions in Title IX [of the Education Amendments of 1972] is another clear overreach of the federal government,” declared North Carolina Representative Mark Walker, who drafted the letter and led the charge. “The federal government has no business making these decisions, much less, to threaten stripping federal funds from schools for not following their politically motivated orders.”

On the one hand, there are the Brexiteers, who point out that the EU economy is shrinking, that its regulatory burden is holding back our business; that outside the EU we’d be richer and freer; that we’d regain control of our borders and be in a better position to protect ourselves against the wave of potential terrorists that Angela Merkel is determined to make EU citizens in order to punish us all for what Germany did in World War II; that we’d no longer be controlled by democratically unaccountable, faceless, supremely untalented apparatchiks who, in their own countries wouldn’t be deemed fit to take the orders at Domino’s Pizza, but who thanks to the EU, in the case of Baroness “Who?” Ashton got to swan around on £400,000 a year like she was some major international powerbroker; that it’s a nonsense to argue that Britain needs to belong to a crippled, spavined, sclerotic, inefficient, wasteful, monumentally corrupt socialistic superstate when, actually it used to do perfectly well for itself for two hundred odd years when it ran half the world. For more details on this see, for example, the very excellent Brexit The Movie.

But I’ve been listening to the arguments advanced by the Remain camp with Prime Minister David Cameron very much setting the dignified, civilised, intelligent, measured, thoughtful tone – and they’re very compelling too. Here are some of the best: Boris Johnson’s wife may have had an affair – or if it wasn’t her, it was possibly someone a bit like her – or maybe not; Boris Johnson used the word “Hitler” in a newspaper article and if you use the word “Hitler” you lose automatically; Boris Johnson smells of poo-poo and wee-wee and actually loves the EU and only says the opposite because it’s opposite month and also because he just wants the job of Prime Minister, so there; David Cameron has agreed to pose looking self-conscious and awkward for a Remain campaign publicity shot while walking across the zebra crossing at Abbey Road which is amazing because it’s just what popular beat combo the Beatles did on one of their most famous album covers and the Beatles wrote Strawberry Fields and Eleanor Rigby so Remain must be a good thing.

I like Trump. I think he is one of the few people who could have done what he has, which is leapfrog right over the whole entrenched party line on both sides BS. For so long the parties have been puppet masters, choosing the “party anointed” and effectively choosing who the candidates we get to choose from are long before we ever vote. The money and the greased skids and the back room deals were what was being represented, not the people. The fact that the parties cannot come to grips with it not being their shot to call shows how out of touch they are. I think Trump’s ego will push him to be a great leader bc he wants to go down in history as one of the greats. And let’s face it, we need someone great to turn the ship before it crashes on the rocks. I think he’ll get a lot more votes than anyone expects. If the voting doesn’t get monkeyed with, that is….

A group of 21 law professors, including Elizabeth Bartholet and Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law, penned a letter to the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights objecting to its overreach under President Obama on the issue of campus sexual assault.

The professors criticized the way OCR is now compelling schools to ignore due process and punished the accused, all the while claiming the new regulations for schools are merely “guidance” and need not be adopted according to the steps outlined in the Administrative Procedure Act. The APA requires, among other things, a notice and comment period for new regulations.

OCR maintains they did not adopt any substantive changes in the documents, even though schools are suddenly being threatened with a loss of funding and an investigation if they don’t comply.

“OCR needs to clarify which directives it considers to be guidance documents vs. regulations,” the professors wrote. “Directives that are guidance documents need to be revised to eliminate provisions containing obligatory wording, unless these provisions are expressly supported by prior legislation or regulation. Directives that are deemed to be regulations need to be brought into compliance with requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act.”

Fury against Bernie Sanders is growing in Clinton World.

In public, Hillary Clinton’s aides and allies have kept their anger checked, decrying the rowdy outbursts at Nevada’s state convention last weekend but saying they believe Sanders will ultimately do the right thing by helping to unite the Democratic Party.

Behind the scenes, however, they are seething that statements by the Vermont senator are just making matters worse by further alienating his supporters from Clinton, the front-runner for the party’s presidential nomination.

The continued combat on the left is also complicating Clinton’s efforts to fully turn her attention to presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, who is reveling in the Democratic feuding.

“This is the worst-case scenario and the one people feared the most,” said one Clinton ally and former Clinton aide.

“Unfortunately, he’s choosing the path of burning down the house,” the ally said. “He continues with character attacks against Hillary. He continues with calling the Democratic Party corrupt, and he not only risks damaging Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party but he’s currently doing it.”

Clinton allies say Sanders is only piling on by insisting that Clinton join him for a debate ahead of California’s primary on June 7. The debate would be aired on Fox News, a network Clinton supporters see as fanning the flames between Sanders supporters and the former secretary of State.

If this was a fictional story you watched in the cinema, you would leave thinking how unrealistic it was. You would know, after all, that keeping twenty-eight men alive in the wastelands of Antarctica, stranded and starving, is an impossible task, particularly set at the beginning of the twentieth century with the limited technology available. However, this is fact. This story did happen. And this is one of the most accurate films depicting the story of the “Endurance” expedition that you could hope for.

The story of Shackleton has passed on into legend. His attempt to cross the Antarctic continent on foot ended in disaster; his ship, the Endurance, crushed by the ice fields, leaving its crew on the ice sheet. Determined to survive, and displaying all the valour and courage he had demonstrated in his previous expedition (the “Nimrod”, in which he turned back less than 100 miles from the pole in order to save the lives of his men), he began an incredible journey to the uninhabited Elephant Island, before having to contemplate a trip to South Georgia: a trip of 800 miles in a lifeboat…

So many Venezuelans have left Venezuela it’s hard to know what the average Venezuelan thinks. Back in band camp (the international debate blog) we had a debate on Chavez. SJWs loved that guy…wow did they get an earful from an actual Venezuelan (who had emigrated to Spain, along with the rest of his family).
But the people in Venezuela…who knows? I know a pilot who flies there with a major airline and he says they have a lot of heavy security around them at all times, and the hotels only take US dollars, not their own Venezuelan currency, and they launder it through some location in the US. This is why the US dollar hasn’t collapsed. So much others are even more fucked than we are.

“In a campaign of normal length, Trump would probably win the fight. (He seems to be winning now.) The trouble is, at this rate we’ll have run through a normal campaign’s worth of thrusts and parries by the middle of next month– and there’ll still be five months still to go. That will force voters to learn what is like to live with each of the candidates, and weigh their flaws and virtues with special thoroughness. Hell, by September it will seem as if Trump’s already been president for a year. That means attacking him over last fall’s insults may not work — after all, they will have been a looong time ago, and now we’ll know the guy. If voters turn out to like living with their Daily Trump, he could easily be ten points ahead by Labor Day. But we might also tire of his personality the way … married couples do the way voters typically tire of a President about halfway through his first term.”

The resentment of men is out in the open and it will have to be addressed. The only way society canoperate is to get men on board as husbands and fathers and that will require loyal women.

About your son, I hope that effective male birth control is coming soon. If the FDA quashes that, it will make a lot of men certain of government’s motives.

I would loke to know what would make women choose to be loyal. The only thing that I can see is that she is better off with him that on her own.

Hydrogen peroxide is a component of honey. It gives most honey its antibiotic quality. But some types of honey, including manuka honey, also have other components with antibacterial qualities.

Another antibacterial component in manuka honey is methylglyoxal (MG). MG is a compound found in most types of honey, but usually only in small quantities.

In manuka honey, MG comes from the conversion of another compound — dihydroxyacetone — that is found in high concentration in the nectar of manuka flowers.

Liz on the Lam blog entry. Since, I don’t have a blog, and Swithy is a benevolent Patriarch:

So, my skin looks bad right (hormones, yo!) usually when I’m not eating wheat everything is swell but not this time, so I went looking for tips.

I happened across an entry by a person in her early 40s offering skincare advice.
She is a medical doctor, so I thought, hey…she must know some stuff.
    Here is her advice:
    1) Don’t wash your face. That’s it.
She explains she sleeps in her makeup too.
-The natural question would be…”do we ever wash the stuff off, or is it like something out of the Elizabethian era when the queen we just add layer on layer and die with two inches of paint on our faces? And…if “we” DO ever wash the stuff off why not do so before bed and leave it off for a while?

She further explained her reason for doing so:
A dermatologist gave her this advice when she was 16.
Well, doc, dermatologists when we were 16 sucked. I’d think your own medical training alone would have given you a clue that things have changed.
    But it got weirder.
She further explained that the “only thing soap does is move the dirt around”.
Well, by golly, too bad I didn’t have this advice sooner. I’ve wasted over twenty years in laundry detergent I was convinced was a cleaning agent!

Then I went to a news piece (regarding a fire at an airbase): “Firefighting authorities said the incident was caused by the combustion of nitrogen and oxygen.”
Well, authorities…I wonder if they worried the combustion of nitrogen and oxygen will spread to the rest of earth’s nitrogen and oxygen atmosphere and lead to global warming?!? Maybe that will be next week’s newspiece.

Pure oxygen under compression needs to be treated with respect. I did a gas mixing course, very strict in clean equipment, contol of speed of charging at the Oxygen stage.

A scuba cylinder (prolly 13kg) filled to 200 bar / atmospheres / 3000psi with AIR have the power of a handgrenade. So even on compressed gas terms you have 20 cylinders of 4 times that size.. Plus, a lot of stuff burns in pure oxygen…burns good…even nitrogen in the atmosphere apparently.

Early scuba lectures warned not to stand up bottles. If it falls and hits something you can have a projectile (the valve) going one way, and a 3000psi (bottle) rocket going the other…good times.

Fuzzie, linux is a piece of piss to install these days. I use Ubuntu mate (mah-tay) as it gives me easy ability to remote desktop (mate uses Gnome desktop). I sent my pretty much not non-techie mate an email on how to install ubuntu on a new system (with remote SSH), I dialled in and took it from there (from France).

I’m still trying to work out why I’m not primarily using Ubuntu on my multiple dual boot systems. Everything just works nowadays.

Years ago, I played around with Suse-Linux for 64 bit and Ubuntu for 32 bit. I found a way to go back to Microsoft. I now have a bunch of good machines but, the software is getting out dated. Vista is the new OS that I have. Just about anywhere I go, I get told that IE9 is no longer supported and Vista can’t be upgraded. Google Chrome with Vista will not be supported with updates.
What bothers me about going to some form of Linux is what to do about virus protection. I don’t want to pass along bad stuff. I like having Microsoft Security Essentials. It’s free, updated daily and works in real time.

My 1st legal question is….. does the video show why that due slapped that bitch around? They say the video shows he wasn’t defending himself but does it show how the incident went down? Did she try to kick him in the junk then he corrected her? Is he her pimp?

as for the level of violence displayed, they guy isn’t landing any serious hits, doesn’t throw her a curb party or anything like that. Could be he is a pussy and cannot hit any harder, could be he was refraining from taking his best shot.

The situation at Mizzou is complicated, and involves considerable ill will between some members of the softball team, other members, the coaching staff, and the university administration. But the gist of the problem is Title IX. Female athletes essentially claim that university administrators, citing Title IX, have forced the team to bring on under-qualified players. This has in turn reduced the amount of game time enjoyed by more skilled players.

Why is Title IX the culprit? Administrators don’t want the federal government to accuse Mizzou of violating federal law, so they have to make sure the softball team is big enough. They don’t want it to look like the school is giving more support to the boys’ team than the girls’ team.

Beneath Title IX, is the dependence of federal largesse. It is making institutions beholden to the federal government. Once beholden, these institutions are being coerced into doing all manner of things.

Before DV was made by the feminists to be completely boy on girl bear downs, they were called domestic disputes. I saw an episode Of Cops that went into them. Back then, cops were leery of answering these calls. They never knew what they would get into. Very often, the woman would turn on the cops who were trying to restrain her man. In the episode, I saw one slight woman climb on the back of a big guy. Ir would have been comical if people weren’t so angry.
