From a recent post, this Dalrock graph was under consideration,
There are many things to consider with respect to the graph, but one that I do not think got much attention was what happens when the women become over 40, and have never been married. Notice that during the recession and anemic recovery years, the level for this group is pretty steady; all the while the other groups are increasing. This means that a very large number of women who enter this group must be getting married; in other words this group is absorbing the excesses from the previous group, and marrying them off.
I wonder what many of these marriages look like. The first aspect that comes to mind is that the woman probably really feels that she is settling. There is a high likelihood that she kept holding out, seemingly forever searching, because she felt that she was worth it. It is difficult to believe that there would not be resentment here. Perhaps at first, she could convince herself and him that there is not really a problem; and for a while there might not be one. However, the resent cannot be bottled up forever. Sooner or later, it will come bubbling to the surface. It probably will not ever manifest itself in terms of the true problem, but as some seemingly unrelated problem. I am not sure exactly why this happens this way, but it is probably a means to vent frustrations without exactly considering what the true problem is (and we can’t do that, can we?). So before too long, the marriage is on the rocks.
I wonder how often this scenario plays out. There do seem to be lots of women who in this cohort now. When I was a youngster, I recall reading in Newsweek that if a women is not married by 40, then there is almost no chance of her marrying. Obviously that is not true today. Many men are marrying this ticking time-bombs, not realizing what they have on their hands. How this will all play out, one does not precisely, but it is probably mostly not good.
Naturally enough, NAWALT applies.
Large cohort goes in
Small cohort goes out.
Married become they did

Too late for me, but your post is at odds with my recollection of what the graph means.
2012. 45-49 cohort 9% unmarried. Green line 2012
That cohort was 40-44 in 2007…where 9.1%were unmarried. Yellow line 2007.
0.1% of the 40-44 in 2007 got married between 2007 and 2012.
Marriage for the previously unmarried pretty much dead in that age range. 1 in a 1000 of the whole population. 0.1 in 9.0 of the unmarried. 1 in 90. 1.1%
You can do the same for each cohort. Compare numbers by skipping back a line and 5 years. Which is what one of the graphs I linked to did.
Don’t know about remarry. Not broken down by socioeconomic group. NAW are equal. But as I said back on jfg…if you want to get remarried…get on with it. Work at it. Don’t be like that. Don’t look like you’re like that. You know who you are. This is a call to action, not to defeat.

Ah…there it is. The crux of the matter.
The concept of settling, or to put a finer point on it, settling vs compromising.
Those who settle know (or believe they know) that they deserve X. They just can’t get X, so they begrudgingly settle for Z. Unfortunately, this means they will forever covet all the Xs they can never have whilst simultaneously loathing the Z.
Those who compromise, on the other hand, know that sure, X is their ideal. But X is also not necessary for true contentment or happiness. So maybe Z has some flaws…but they realize that everyone does. Including them. At the end of the day, you and your SO learn to compromise and love each other for the Zs you are, and smooth out the flaws while building up your individual X-like traits.

As for settling, I linked this yesterday. It may be worth another look. Using charts , it demonstrates haow a woman can percieve herself as an eight and be the equal of what she sees to to be a male three.

For any man seeing this in a woman he is dating,, I would reccommend getting the heck out of there as fast as possible. Western women do have an overall reputation for being “stuck up”.Western men should not feed it.

PM and I share a number of similar views, despite him being a post-divorce dating guru and I being happily single. Great minds think alike… 😉
Something funny:
A tradcon emailed me just now, and was trying to school me on the RP, the absolute necessity of strict traditional gender roles (yeah, including the ones that say men *need* to be providers and leaders or else they magically lose their penis or something) and how I have a vagina so I *need* to be feminine and allow my guy to lead…even though we’d hate such a role swap as it plays opposite our individual strengths.
He is completely flabbergasted that I said I was a MGTOW supporter. Said it was utterly contrary to what I should want (a husband, I guess). Then he asked if I was Jewish, because a lot of folk in his corner of the manosphere think MGTOW is a Zionist conspiracy to destroy all civilization and make men forsake their “natural leaders”.
Can’t make this shit up…I’m just reeling from the strangeness of it all.

Feminism is ‘there is no difference between men and women’
These guys seem to buy into the liberal mantra that there’s no difference between people of different cultures, nationalities, religions, races, sexes (apart from where they cannot be ignored – sport etc).
The present problems in Europe and the States are only, can only, be down to economic disadvantage of the immigrants.
And that is just horseshit.
NAinsertwhateverhereALT…but to demand that there’s nothing you can say about any group on the statistical level is just bollocks.
I don’t happen to see much good coming from such discussions, I have no interest in those discussions happening here. We’re not going HBD or WN here – will not happen. But what is actively harmful is an inability to recognise real world issues with real world implications because to do so runs contra to your ideology. This is rabbit thinking, blue pill thinking, liberal thinking (in your parlance), SJW thinking
In that discussion thread we had Karen doing her Islam is a gynocentric religion schtick. FINE, fine, much of what she says is probably true for women of that religion in an idealised implementation of the religion. But what does that religion say about unbeliever women? it’s not gynocentric about them, is it? If you claim that women in those cultures don’t have it so good because of the culture (it’s not down to the religion)? Are you telling me that Islam and the culture in those countries is not very tightly interwoven? seriously?
Then there’s the ‘where is the video evidence’?
Well,
a) if you were in that crowd waving a camera phone around…you were likely to be robbed of it
b) surveillance cameras? Where’s the footage. We know that the cops were told to delete it / hide it because it might prove ‘tricky’ if it got out. Also why any footage captured by the immigrants didn’t get into the mainstream.
c) a retired German media chief recently admitted that they only reported what they were told to report by the politicians.
Then there’s ‘the lefty oriented MSM is spinning what is happening as a rape culture’…FFS the MSM (which is indeed lefty oriented) is only reporting on this stuff when it’s dragged kicking and screaming to it by social media. Only when it cannot be ignored is it reported at all.
JtO et al are still 100% blue pill on any issue other than feminism. Dumb mofos I’ve lost a lot of respect for the bunch of them. I’m not the type to fan-boi, but I did think that they had their shit down better than this. It’s embarrassing.

Oh, it is. It seriously is. Thing is, the culture takes the religion to the extremes. Having a country run with fanatical Islam would be like the US being run by the Westboro Baptist Church. That is why I like my Muslim customers and neighbors…because much like “regular” Christians are disgusted by the hatred spewed out by the WB, they openly voice their disgust regarding the Islamic State and Sharia law. A significant majority of the Muslims I know are first generation Americans. Their parents, decades ago, got out and came to the US before all this shit hit the fan and are productive members of our society.
I recently spoke to one of the elder Muslim gentlemen in my neighborhood during a walk we inadvertently shared. He said that what was happening in Europe was upsetting…but he could have told the politicians about the groping and rapes and attacks before *any* refugees stepped across the border. There’s a huge difference, he said, between inviting in a guest who thinks to take off their shoes before entering your house vs one who comes in and craps on your carpet. Needless to say, he believes a very significant portion of the refugees are carpet crappers, intent on upholding not only their fanatical religion but their fanatical cultural norms too, all while living off the taxpayer dime. I must say I agree with him.
Also interestingly, he said he’d be one of the first to…persuade said refugees to never step foot in our neighborhood or in his mosque, if the US began taking them in. Neither he, nor his wife and children, want them here.

The modern social justice movement, or the new “political correctness,” vaulted into the spotlight last year. Student protests swept across campuses, with demands often focused on purging thoughtcrime—leading to heated debates on whether this movement is a dangerous pseudo-progressive authoritarianism or a long-overdue effort to achieve justice for all. A year-in-review piece in The Daily Dot in late December proclaimed 2015 “the year of the social justice warrior”

In an article at Therulesrevisited.com, the blogger says that if a woman is in her 30s and wants to be married but isn’t, she’s doing something wrong. The first time I read that it sounded harsh but after thinking about it, I’d say he’s right. She’s either staying in dead end relationships too long, or not looking seriously herself, or she’s doing something that’s putting her in the “not marriage material” camp. Many young women are advised to put marriage off until their 30s and to focus on career instead, but what they aren’t told is that the pool of available marriage minded guys is shrinking rapidly in the meantime. Kind of like musical chairs. If she only starts looking at 30-35, she’ll be in a panic to beat the clock, and liable to “settle” and marry someone she doesn’t truly want to spend a lifetime with (even if she swears so at the time.) not good. People who advise women to wait too long and “play the field” or whatnot are seriously leading these gals astray.

And by 40, it’s really late then. Not that people don’t marry or remarry at that age, but with age comes complexity (divorce, children, other commitments and ties) that make finding a marriage partner even more complicated. Much, much more complicated than at in the 20s…

How to kiss need to know one does.
The University of Southern California held a “Consent Carnival” on Thursday to try and teach students how to have sex under the new intrusive and authoritarian “affirmative consent” standards. These standards mandate that sex be more of a contractual agreement than a passionate act, requiring students to engage in a question-and-answer session for every type of sexual activity, even hand-holding and kissing.
One of the booths featured at the carnival was a “kissing booth,” which provided students with a five-step checklist to kissing someone without sexually assaulting

Missouri,
First, a great university needs well-qualified students and the financial resources to hire and retain top faculty. Capitulating to the protesters has impaired Mizzou’s ability to secure both.
Not surprisingly, applications are down significantly. According to a leaked internal memorandum, undergraduate applications for the 2016-17 term dropped by five percent from the previous year. Graduate applications fell a whopping 19 percent.
In particular, applications from students with high ACT scores (30 or above) were down 7.7 percent, and the number of African-American applicants plummeted by 19 percent.
While numerous factors affect application numbers from year to year, it’s hard to believe that last fall’s widely publicized protests aren’t largely to blame for the decline.
With fewer applicants to choose from, particularly at the top end, Mizzou’s incoming class is almost sure to be less qualified than its predecessor.
The application numbers also portend financial difficulties for the university. The drop in undergraduate applications was entirely from out-of-state applicants. A substantial reduction in out-of-state students, who pay much more in tuition than do Missouri residents, will impair the university’s financing.
There’s almost no chance that state funding will offset the shortfall in tuition receipts. Many Missouri voters believe that the protesters’ demands—e.g., that the president of the four-campus system be fired because of a few isolated racist incidents over which he had no control—were unreasonable. When faculty, coaches, and staff endorsed those demands and feckless administrators capitulated, no one from the university would speak reason for fear of being called a racist.
Voters have lost confidence in the institution and legislators have responded predictably. Many of them are threatening to reduce the university’s funding for next year.
If enrollment drops and the legislature reduces state support, the university will have to raise more money from private donors or cut spending. While data on Mizzou’s post-protest fundraising aren’t yet available, the frequency with which remarks like “I’ll never give another dime to that school” are heard suggests that the former outcome is unlikely. Budget cuts are almost certainly coming, and Mizzou’s academic offerings will suffer.
Second, free speech and open inquiry will suffer.
