Can They Figure It Out?

The Dunning-Kruger Effect basically states that unintelligent/unwise people of the not have the where with all to under that the fact that they are unintelligent/unwise.  So what might be the relationship between this effect and Feminism?  Think about it for a bit.

In today’s world, the Government has cleared a path for girls and women, and it did so at Feminism’s request.  Women are subsidized more, given preference in hiring and promotion, and overall have their desires catered to.  Men, on the other hand, have none of these advantages.  Boys and young men are the most part not coddled.  They are forced by this environment to develop themselves and to learn what is effective in the world and what isn’t.  Ideally, they learn their limitations (often the hard way), and are therefore less likely to have an inflated self-assessment.  As a white male, I know that I have to be better than others, and hence operate from a realistic view of the world.

None if this is true for modern young women.  Due to their subsidized/coddled nature, they never actually are compelled to develop their intelligence/wisdom.  This situation leads to fertile ground for the Dunning-Kruger Effect to fester and grow.

No doubt commenters can add their own evidence (anecdotal and otherwise) to this.

NAWALT applies

While Dunning-Kruger is new to me, I do remember the Peter Principle. I think that both apply. The part that traps the incompetent is that they don’t realize they are incompetent. In the case of fast track female promotion, minor problems will be not attended to until a major catastrophe, and, perhaps, ot even then.
Promoting people to llok good ona EEOC form is missing the point. Take care of the usiness first.

Is it just me, or does this read oddly?
I got the gist, but methinks some of the grammer got trapped by an auto correct feature perhaps…

See, this is interesting, and could show either a case of generational NAWALT teachings like Molly had, or one of large differences in cultural values. When I was young, one of the most consistent teachings told to me by my lived with great grandmother (originally from Germany, born in 1902) was “Tarn, you’re a girl. As such, you have to work twice as hard as a boy to gain respect and to have your accomplishments recognized. When others around you think one cart is enough, make sure you fill another.”

If we take out the first part involving my sex, this sounds like something that is more likely to be told to males than females. Has this line of wisdom, tolling the virtues of hard work by women, simply been neglected in favor of coddling? Or has it been deemed sexist and thus not worthy of being repeated to current generations?

  4. Oh boy have I ever met completely clueless people who think they know it all! Even worse when they are in some position of power.

Token appointments of people to certain jobs when they are not able to actually do the job is never a good idea. Causes lots of workplace drama, hard feelings, and wasted energy. Want a demoralized crew? Allow incompetence to fester. Soon the able are no longer so willing, and the unable are no use at picking up the slack. Lose-lose.

    Hi Fuzzie 🐻

“Firing Blanks” grew like a mushroom, eh!

White men need to be better than others, to compete. Most won’t compete, as they grow up brain-washed to believe they are inferior and bad and too “privileged” to know what privilege is. It started happening already. White boys are by far the biggest drop in education relative to others. Most won’t compete when they are adult, as they won’t be able.

Ellen Pao an example she is,

The Ellen Pao case gives me the opportunity to make another point. Namely, that this is what happens when girls and women get no real pushback, criticism, or experience of honest failure, as they are growing up. Eventually they reach a position where they really do have to stand on their merits and they fail.

Most men in positions of authority have flaws but one can usually assume that they have been “through the mill”, “paid their dues”, or whichever expression you like. They are known quantities and they have been given plenty of honest feedback. The problem for girls is that they only eventually discover, like some kind of Barbie doll, that “life is hard”, and by the time they do, it may be too late.

Nobody much gives women honest criticism, and then everybody acts surprised when they fail in the real world, or underperform. Men tend to get treated less kindly, but this, paradoxically, is better for them in the long run.

You have a point about boys getting a beat down in school. It does seem that education is a very attractive occupation for feminists and women dominate primary and secondary school. There is a little hope, in his newest video Aaron Clarey points out that while women are earning 68% of the degrees, they are in subjects he considers “Worthless”.

    Farm Boy,
I can see your point about having to work harder.

I can see your point too. Asian males never “applied” for minority status.

Ellen Pao is a poster child for this. The sad part is that they promoted her to the top and no one could correct her when she went off the rails.
One thought to consider, if your in the stock market, it usually pays to short stocks that have women CEOs. While it isn’t right every time, it will pay over time. I think Reddit was hoping to go public but , with Ellen Pao alienating Redditors all over the place, that wasn’t going to happen.

I can’t see religion as an INTJ thing, but maybe I’m wrong, or INTJs just played along, recognising the cultural benefits?

SJWs take denial of reality to ‘problematic’ levels. To the extent that I wonder if there’s an real mental pathology / illness issue there. Others are probably just scammers looking to make patreon pay…

Infp is also a 1% type, that would be my type. Less of us here. There were several at j4g.

I am a 1%er in other ways, too. I had a 1% chance of being born (my mom had an iud, which she claims was forced upon her by the army, and that I was an answer to prayer…18 months after my brother? Ummm, yeah right but I suppose I was meant to be because here I am!) I also have O- blood, 1% again. I am a universal donor meaning I could give blood to anyone but the only type I can receive is O-, so it’s good for everyone else, not so much for me.

INTJ: Understanding all of the deepest, most intimate truths about how the world works but not sharing those truths, because the commoners wouldn’t understand.

So last week, gay conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos declared October 18 ”World Patriarchy Day.”

Yiannopoulos wrote: “Feminists like to claim that there is a sinister cultural phenomenon known as the ‘patriarchy,’ through which all men, especially if they are white, contribute to a set of values and social norms that marginalise and exclude women. What a load of old (bull). I honestly can’t believe people fall for this rubbish. So, in an attempt to redress the imbalance between fact and fantasy, World Patriarchy Day is the day on which you should feel free to express your masculinity in the most odiously toxic manner imaginable.”
This went onto Twitter with the hashtag #WorldPatriarchyDay in a bit of trolling that soon had feminists complaining precisely as intended. In other words, a typical day on the Internet.
But it led Rachel Edwards to write a thoughtful piece noting that there isn’t actually a patriarchy, at least not in the West, where one hears the most complaints. “Feminism can only exist in the kinds of countries that are doing so well that they don’t have to consider eating rats for much needed sustenance. It can only exist in a place with enough human rights to care that you as a woman are a little upset. Feminism can only exist in countries where women can be smart enough to understand the concept of oppression, yet stupid and coddled enough to believe that such words describe the country that they live in. In fact, a country has to care about women, period, for feminism to even be a thing.”

That’s true, and by any reasonable standard the West is looking as much matriarchal as patriarchal, with women overrepresented among college graduates and living longer than men.

But take heart, would-be patriarchs. Because that’s all going to change. The Western values that, as Edwards notes, make feminism and complaints about the patriarchy possible are pretty much unique, and they’re not likely to last long in their current form if trends continue.

In academia, we have a saying: Personnel is policy. If your history department hires a bunch of Marxists, you’ll have a Marxist history department. If the law school hires a bunch of law-and-economics types, you’ll have a law-and-economics based law school. And because most people tend to stay for a long time, and because people tend to hire people like themselves, those changes will be long-lasting.
Which brings me to the unprecedented mass-migration being experienced at present by Europe and, to a lesser degree, by the United States. Hundreds of thousands of people — soon, it seems likely to be millions — are coming from countries where the patriarchy really is a thing. These are places where honor killings, female genital mutilation and the legal and social subordination of wives and daughters to husbands and fathers are considered the norm. (The Dutch are already getting upset about the Syrian refugees who are bringing child brides with them.)

Some of these people, of course, will eagerly adopt the culture of their new lands, and try their hardest to assimilate. But many more will not. They will, as people tend to do, cling to their native culture and customs regardless, either ignorant of (or more likely) feeling superior to the traditions of their adoptive countries. (This is normal for all sorts of people: When Americans do that, they’re called “ugly Americans.”) And to the extent that their behavior is visible, some percentage of the native population will adopt it, at least to some degree, especially if it seems that it is successful.
The end result will be that patriarchy will be back in the West

    Black Helicopters,

A Breitbart meetup in Arizona ended with a restaurant cutting off the microphone before a police helicopter strangely descended upon the gathering ordering attendees to disperse.

In an effort to provide offline fellowship to a community of passionately engaged readers, Breitbart News recently introduced Breitbart local “Meet Ups.” The second event, held in Phoenix on Wednesday night, featured Breitbart’s Brandon Darby discussing border issues and AWR Hawkins discussing gun rights. Between 150-200 people flooded the patio on a cool night at K O’Donnell’s to discuss matters of liberty and network with other like-minded conservatives.

For the first 45 minutes of the pre-organized event conservatives networked while ordering food and drinks. There was already a great sense of camaraderie among the crowd when Breitbart’s Community Liaison Dustin Stockton began the program by asking God to steer the conversation towards solutions that would combat the agents of greed and corruption that infest our government and media.

Second Amendment “journalist of the year” AWR Hawkins gave the first speech of the evening. He spoke with the enthusiastic attendees about guns, and the American tradition of freedom. AWR passed the microphone to Breitbart Texas’ Managing Director Brandon Darby who captivated the crowd with his extensive knowledge of border issues.

Just as Darby finished his remarks and opened the stage for Q&A, the microphone was suddenly cut off and the audio of the Mets/Cubs game began to blare over the PA system. The attendees began to realize that instead of a technical issue, the management at K O’Donnell’s had purposefully cut off the microphone. Once again, PC culture was trying to silence a peaceful group of people concerned about the direction of the country

No longer welcome, the large Breitbart crowd began paying their bills and congregating just outside the establishment. Before most of the crowd could conclude their business with the venue, both Phoenix and Scottsdale police departments arrived on the scene and a police helicopter began circling overhead shining a spotlight on the crowd. A PA system on the chopper began to demand that the crowd disperse.

“It was outrageous,” one of the attendees, Kris Hall, told Breitbart News. “They (K O’Donnell’s) had a packed house on a Wednesday night and they were willing to anger all of us because they got a couple of complaints about the very respectful things the Breitbart team was talking about, Give me a break!”

Now that I am less scattered brained

An average White guy has to be much better then average to overcome legal obstacles like affirmative action. It on the margins that these laws hurt White men

Let’s look at college. The White guy with an IQ of 120 is good to go to get in. A White guy with the average White guy IQ of 100 will struggle because women, negros, mexicans, queers, jewz etc with average or bellow average IQ will get bonus points for being non White.

That is only one example but plays our across the board. The military would rather promote a black chick then a White man so your evals must be much better then her’s to get the job. And so on and so on

That this is true is beyond debate.

It is also why I recommend White men ignore college and jobs etc and get trades, open small business, hire only Whites, make a lot of money on the side ie under the table with no taxes, make a lot of White babies, use the welfare system as a weapon of war because it is being used against Whites, learn to ride fast, shoot straight and dominate the world around them most especially non Whites. Value family, kin, culture and race above all.

You know like White men use to do when we achieved great things vs being hated and hunted in the nations our fore fathers built.

Few will do so because they love the comforts of the blue pill and approvals of polite company

    Halloween Hollywood style

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives has organized “KillJoy’s Kastle,” a “Lesbian Feminist haunted house.” ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is a part of the University of Southern California’s Libraries.

“Lesbian Rule. Forget the dead this Halloween. Feel the pulsing throb of something larger than life in KillJoy’s Kastle,” reads USC’s website.

KillJoy’s Kastle will be a “sex positive, trans inclusive, queer lesbian-feminist-fear-fighting celebration,” put together by Toronto based-artists Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell and organized by “ONE Archives in West Hollywood.”

“This haunted house of freaky feminist skill sharing and paranormal consciousness-raising reanimates the archive of lesbian herstory with all its wonders and thorny complications,” they explain. “Expect horror.”

“Dare to be scared by gender-queer apparitions,” it continues, “ball-busting butches, and never-married, happy-as-hell spinsters.. . . . Each evening of nightmarishly non-assimilated lesbian mayhem will include multiple live performances from a spirited group of international and local weirdos.”

I love it when idiots turn on each other:

In a stinging commentary, Nicole Russell writes that by choosing Jenner as woman of the year, “Glamour endorses the idea that men are better at being women than we are.”

Russell compares Glamour’s insulting maneuver to a cover of New York Magazine featuring transgender Martine Rothblatt as the “highest-paid female CEO” in the nation. “Apparently real women can’t cut it, so we’ve got to import men into our ranks to win awards,” Russell notes.

“Jenner might feel like he is a woman,” she writes, “he might want to be a woman, he might be living as a woman, but thoughts do not generate biology or reality.”

Australian-born feminist Germaine Greer accused Glamour of “misogyny” in its decision to award Jenner its woman of the year award, noting that transgender women are “not women” and do not “look like, sound like or behave like women.”

“I think misogyny plays a really big part in all of this,” Greer said, “that a man who goes to these lengths to become a woman will be a better woman than someone who is just born a woman.”

Meanwhile, writing for Celeb Dirty Laundry, Andie Howard channeled the anger of readers who “want to know what Caitlyn did besides transition from male to female in order to deserve the honor.”

  104. Spawny Get says:

Revered feminist author Germaine Greer has insisted that Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner only changed sex so he could bathe in the same limelight as his Kardashian daughters. Left-wing Greer hit out at the U.S. Olympian turned reality star after Mr. Jenner was rumoured to be under consideration to be crowned Glamour’s Woman of the Year.

Germaine Greer accused the Glamour of ‘misogyny’ and said a transgender person should never be considered a better woman than someone born female. The lefty hero then alleged Jenner only ever wanted to be a woman so that he could revel in the attention before claiming his own right to speak on the matter of transgenderism.

Big high five to Caerdyff students though

As Breitbart London has reported, students at Cardiff University in Wales launched an online petition to prevent her giving a speech at a Women & Power: The Lessons of the 20th Century lecture next month.

The petition, which was started on by Rachael Melhuish, women’s officer at Cardiff University students’ union, alleged Greer has ‘demonstrated misogynistic views towards trans women, including continually misgendering trans women and denying the existence of transphobia altogether’.

It adds: ‘[H]osting a speaker with such problematic and hateful views towards marginalised and vulnerable groups is dangerous. Allowing Greer a platform endorses her views, and by extension, the transmisogyny, which she continues to perpetuate.’

On form, the ABs should win. Good form doesn’t decide World Cups, unfortunately. After a cushy game against Argentina the Aussies are less bashed up than the ABs, who had a brutal game against South Africa. The biggest factor will be the referee. If he kills the fast-moving game, the Aussies will be in with a sniff.

  110. Off topic but a few minutes ago as I am standing here at my little ag based biz waiting for customers to show up I hear a loud, close gunshot just as the phone is ringing. It was Red on the phone, to say his buddy had just spotted a four point buck in my driveway and could he shoot it? I said, “I think he just did!” Sure enough. And of course just as customers were pulling in. But luckily there wasn’t actually carnage right in the middle of the driveway, it was out of view. Red’s buddy said he’s going to bring me some meat for my freezer. Score!

  123. Does the number of points show how old the deer is? Is an older deer bigger/better? I really have no clue how this works. And agreed Farm Boy, it was probably not a good call for him to shoot where he did, there are neighbors on all sides, 5 acre parcels. My understanding is a bullet from a rifle can go much further than that? Like I said, it was over before I had any say in the matter…

  124. And even more sad, I guess what he thought was a four point was a two prong? I didn’t actually see it because customers came in. Just trying to share a hunting story! I didn’t say it was a “good” hunting story. :/

  127. Cill says:

No, points on antlers don’t indicate age. Rough indicators of age are the size of the antlers, their spread and heaviness, and the length of the tines. Even then it’s not straight forward because the ages at which the antlers stop growing and spreading varies from region to region.

  128. fuzziewuzziebear says:

    That is Columbian necktie.

It’s all right if the hunter is certain of the target and, should he fail, there is a a backstop.
In your neck of the woods, the points are counted on one antler. In Texas, where deer are small, they count both antlers.

I dont’t know what to think of campus fembots getting Germaine Greer banned. She is very radical bur, not radical enough for modern third wave fembots? That’s scary!

  130. It may have been a shotgun, sounded like one. But now that I have had time to ask around, it actually was not good what this young man did. Just bc you see a deer in someone’s driveway during hunting season does not mean you should blast first, ask later. I did not want to squelch his masculine hunting win, but will pass the word through Red that it should not happen again unless I invite him to camp out in the orchard.

Mineral content of the soil and genetics dictates most of antler growth. Heaviest buck I killed was only an 8 point but the girth of his antlers was unreal. Couldn’t wrap my hands around a beam. He’said my favorite trophy. He is all scared up and grizzled. Clearly he won a lot of fights and banged a shit ton of hotties before getting to close.

Tooth wear is a pretty good guess on age but even then older and wiser bucks are pretty cagey and will eat some rough shit to keep safe increasing teeth wear

Looked it up; 100 yards from a dwelling with a shotgun for shotgun only states. Closer then I would have thought considering I dropped a dear at 174 yards with a sabot and rifled barrel
