Traditional Conservatives — Back to the Bible

Previously in the post Unholy Alliance, we saw what many traditional conservatives have morphed into.  It is not necessary a pretty sight.  However, there is another modern traditional conservative, one that some might call red-pill, and others might call bible-based.  Perhaps the leading web site exemplifying this thinking is Dalrock.

The Bible is full of stories of women behaving poorly, of their weaknesses, of their ability to sin just like men.  And as such this version of trad-con does not hold women in the same high esteem that the other trad-cons do.  Furthermore, these trad-cons are eager to take the red pill in order to understand the situation, and then hopefully do something constructive about today’s sorry state of affairs.  And the key word here is constructive, as this is what Christians are called to do.

The Bible also gives prescriptions on attitudes and behaviors.  These trad-cons emphasize the ones that have a red-pill basis.  The thought is to guide people back to a style of living that results in productive contentment.   Naturally, they realize that they are swimming against the tide; but they do what they feel they must do.

P.S.  In the comments, FuzzieWuzzieBear brought up the issue of the rainbow flag.   It just so happens that Dalrock addresses this.

It is a shame that Dalrock’s view will not get aired on the main stream. It’s like we are short on everything and have to fight uphill too.

This is one of the things I actually like about the Bible. It has various stories of how women can be wise (Deborah), courageous (Esther), cruel, (Jezebel), productive/noble, (Proverbs businesswoman), and misled (Eve). As such, women are just as human as their male counterparts.

In “The Plan to Take Back Feminism in 2015,” PJM’s Susan Goldberg suggests that the suffrage activists of the nineteenth century had it right: these were God-fearing women who loved men and wanted to take their fair share of the world’s work, ridding themselves of the privileges and liabilities of traditional femininity.
Goldberg writes compellingly of what happened to the feminist movement when it lost God and put Woman/the Goddess in God’s stead.

Imo putting the Lady before/in place of the Lord is not how balance is restored or created. Rather, it just makes a new imbalance which helps absolutely no one.

Also, calling oneself a deity is basically the definition of entitlement. Never a good plan.

The Human Race is a “fallen” race. There is no evading it.
The Original Sin of Adam is imputed onto mankind.
DEATH entered through Adam’s transgression. Humans (To be saved) MUST
be PERFECT. This is how it must be if they were saved by their own efforts.
Obviously, humans cannot be perfect. Even their own thoughts are wicked.
If you keep the law out of fear, that is insincere. You must generally want to be good
because you are persuaded that good is better then bad. If the other fellow has what
you want and you are jealous, you might not kill him, but you want to kill him in your mind.
This is NOT the change of heart you must have to be saved.
Mere Church attendance is NOT enough, because you could easily P-R-A-Y on
    Sunday, and P-R-E-Y on Monday.
The only hope for man is salvation by grace. Grace is an unmerited gift. It is given for
no other reason then God loves you. That’s what the Bible says in the Gospel of John.
The Bible is a teaching of PROGRESSIVE RELEVATION. It begins from the “primative”
Old Testament and ends with John and the later epistles. There are no more religious
requirements for salvation. Christ kept the laws perfectly on our behalf and payed
the price for humanity’s sins:DEATH. He rose from the dead. That was the most
important event in history, because that is the only means through which we have
eternal life: “As in Adam ALL DIE,so as in Christ ALL shall be made alive.”
What does a person have to do? Just believe on the Lord. Nothing else. A transformed
nature is all you need. Everything positive will come from a transformed nature.

Yup. People should be moral because it’s the correct thing to do and because we are (generally) a species with empathy. One should not steal, murder, or rape not due to fear of punishment but due to the fact it’s immoral.

…you could easily P-R-A-Y on Sunday, and P-R-E-Y on Monday.

My other kitty, Willie, a long black hair male (fixed) cat, is nothing but sweet to her and as far as I have seen his body language says nothing but “let’s be friends!” Still she hisses and howls at him like he is attacking her if he comes within 5 feet. I have just been ignoring that, while telling her we are all part of the package. She’s finally starting to mellow about Willie. Yay! And her belly is definitely swelling. She now waddles. So cute! Anyone want a kitten? Lol. (I actually have several homes lined up, the plan is to find good homes for the kittens (we may keep one) and then get momma and everyone fixed! )

    Chairman Pao,

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/07/has_ellen_pao_castrated_the_feminist_movement.html

So what has Pao done for the feminist cause?

    1) She has let the nation know that many so-called “gender discrimination” lawsuits are actually without merit, and are just tools used by some women to extort money from their former employers.

    2) She was held up as a business leader who could succeed, if not for gender discrimination, and now she has been shown to be a complete failure.

    3) She has been exposed as a hypocrite, a symbol of oppressed women who herself oppresses women.

    4) She has made employers think twice about hiring women because of the fear that some of them might turn out to be litigious extortionists like her.

With feminist heroes like these, do you think they need enemies?

    Some background here,

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/07/10/ellen-pao-out-as-reddit-ceo-blames-sites-users/

But Reddit readers went into full rebellion a week ago when Pao fired Victoria Taylor, the director of communications for Reddit and the moderator of the site’s “Ask Me Anything” Q&A sessions. Users claimed that Pao’s censorship made it impossible to set up and run the so-called AMA sessions without her, according to the Verge.

Unpaid volunteer moderators, in protest against Taylor’s dismissal and Reddit’s lack of transparency, shut down many of the site’s biggest “subreddits” on a variety of popular topics from gaming, movies, sex and science. In addition, 143,000 Reddit members signed a petition over the next three days that called for Reddit to dump Pao as interim CEO. In response, Pao and co-founder Alexis Ohanian issued a half-hearted apology that Reddit should have shared more information about Taylor’s departure.

But readers went ballistic when the company issued a statement to Bloomberg Business that “Ellen has the full support of the team.” With the rebellion picking up steam and the petition signatures passing 200,000, the company issued a statement on Friday afternoon that Pao was leaving and co-founder Steve Huffman would return as CEO.

Ton is not a feminist in any sense. Nor am I. Make women dependent upon men, not upon the Apex Alpha. No laws against rape except where they trample the rights of men. E.g., women’s chastity is important to men because of cuckolding–not to women–so laws against rape are for men. (Men are responsible for supporting women living in their house.) Etc.

It’s worth looking at your presuppositions from time to time to find out who has influenced you either directly or indirectly through your teachers. Dear Ton:
We need fear NOTHING now. “Perfect love casts out all fear.” “We can boldly
approach the THRONE OF GRACE.” “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall
set you free.” No ritualistic prohibitions at all.
Revealation happens stage by stage. How we live now, in the era of Grace is not
how people lived in the Old Testament times. Our nature’s determine our actions.
It’s called, “Having the law written on the fleshly tables of the heart.” Or,
    “Circumsicision of the heart.”
Jewish folk can continue with the laws of Moses-if they want- but in no way
should Gentile converts to Christianity be compelled to take up Jewish law.
That’s what the Book Of Galatians was about.
The Apostle Paul said: “All things are lawful to me, but NOT expiedent.”
This means, Christ has washed away your sins, but it still wouldn’t be right to
    commit a destructive act.

  95. @ ton and missattempts, respectfully, I would say it is both. Yes fear is part of it, and any who would not fall to their face in his presence would be unwise, but fear more in respect of the awesome power and righteousness, like a stern but just father. And also it is true that because of Grace we need not fear, simply to recognize and admit we fall short, admit our need for Grace, and then to do our best to live up to that standard to be more like Him out of respect and love. Tis an amazing mystery! The bible is a very interesting book actually, the progression from Old Testament works and law to the New Testament and Grace.

Speaking of apex alphas, Jesus would have been that. And people saw it, and crowds followed him, and people listened. Righteous, and not without anger (busting up the market in the temple, for example, railing against the Pharasies who were getting it all wrong) but of strong quiet character as well. The lovey dovey Jesus is my boyfriend version sold today is a lollipop version at best.

Anyway, I don’t mean to get all religous on ya’ll so I will leave it at that. Fear and Grace are two sides of the same coin.

    Tis a mystery!

If Spawny does have MSGL, the converse to my comment at 5:15 pm must apply with a negative, not positive, result for Andrea. Having selflessly stood by him in feminist solidarity, Andrea has surrendered herself to a comparison that could only be unfavorable to her. What a gal.

There was a Twitter dust uup recently over this character and I was wondering how much lesbian interest Scarlett attracts. She is prominent enough that she could tell them that while she may, at times, find male interest a nuisance, she understands it. As for the interest from women, she could tell them to take a hike. It would be funny to see lesbians get a nuclear rejection instead of a pass.

Thing is women never wanted equality, they want to be superior so it’s a failed strategy. Lest on the political/ macro level. Micro level on the other hand…. the more women suffer the sooner they will switch sides but as long as they can vote they will vote to enslave men, sons, fathers, brothers etc make no never mind.

    Hi, new person/JDG!

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes. I’m sure her training included the culinary arts.

    2. Natasha’s minor attraction to Clint, plus the fact they’d worked on various missions together (before Spider-Man convinced Hawkeye that stealing from Stark Industries for the KGB is not such a good plan) would mean she’d probably be glad to make him a sandwich or two. Plus, he was the reason she broke out of one of her brainwashings, so…

    3. Regardless, if we leave the comics for a bit and go to the movie time line, then yes, of course she’d make sandwiches for Bruce! Dear Gods, man, did you not see Avengers 2?! Heck, given that they are in similar…um, “occupations”…she’d probably make some for Bucky, too.

And if we’re really only talking about real edible sandwiches still, Natasha would almost certainly make some for Rocket. He seems like a good drinking partner so long as no one brings up Half-World…
