One might ask oneself, Why would anybody want to be a victim? Why would anybody want to have a job doing it? Seemingly it would appear to be ludicrous like this situation,
But it really is not ludicrous. That is, if one looks at from an purely selfish individualistic perspective. One can make a good living from being a professional victim. Furthermore, one can can become famous and soak up the adulation. And to top it all off, one can delude themselves into thinking that they “are making the world better”. This sounds like a dream job. How does one fill it?
First of all, one has to be a member of a approved victim group (e.g. women). Even if you lived a life of privilege, if you are a member of such a group, then you are eligible. But it takes more. One should be able to either write acceptably and/or manipulate the media well. And one needs to put themselves into positions where they can become “victimized”. Nothing serious of course. But something where they can claim to be a victim (or better yet, a survivor).
Now consider the bigger picture. Are these professional victims (and associated rabble rousers) really improving the world like they claim they are? Think about that.
